Species / Race
Plant Person

Description
One of Plant's most defining characteristics is that she is almost always sleepy or tired. She often even sounds like she is about to fall asleep at any moment. She is typically relaxed and relatively calm. She doesn't like to go out much or join parties since she would prefer to be napping. She is usually 'too tired' to even get mad or upset at most people or things. She'd just go home and sleep it off.
She can be a bit blunt sometimes. She will state an honest opinion, but tries to limit it to if it's actually wanted. She is making an effort to mostly keep her opinions to herself. She isn't perfect, of course, but she still tries and makes attempts to be mindful about it.
Often, she has a bit of a pessimistic view (Ex: "It's too hot... People die from heat stroke every second." or "Swimming is awful... Everyone finds a different way to drown...")

Other
  • Although she is a plant, she still eats meat. Chicken is one of her favorites.
  • Burns hurt a lot more on her than they do on normal people. (Cooking accidents really suck.)
  • She is much more vulnerable to getting sick during cold weather. She also, in a way, goes into some sort of "hibernation" during cold seasons. She just naps and sleeps a lot more often than usual.
  • She is a lot more active during the day, but that doesn't mean that she won't feel sleepy at all.
  • Of course she still feels emotions other than being tired. She just can't show it outwardly most of the time, but she still feels them inwardly.
  • She started introducing herself as "Plant" because it seems like a lot of people found it easier to remember.

Backstory
Plant went to an all-girls school most of her life. At a much younger age, she was a lot more energetic and active. She wasn't popular or anything, but she still had a rather large friend group. She would be able to play with them all day, she would be able to run for hours, she would be able to do so much.
As the years went by, something about her just changed. She slowed down. She became a lot more sluggish and tired. The other girls often stopped hanging out with her, since she seemed to prefer having her own personal time anyways. Unable to keep up with her social life, they eventually broke off from her. She ended up fading out of their lives.
When high school came around, she transferred to a regular public school. Back at her old school, a lot of girls would talk about how "icky" boys were, so she was wary at first. Eventually, she found that everything was alright. Aside from that, she had a hard time keeping her head up in school. However, she still managed to do remarkably well on her work.
She tried to cope with her sleeping issues, but she eventually came to feel bitter about it more and more as time went on. She blamed a lot of her problems coming from it. As much as she hated it, she just accepted it. There was nothing she could do about it.
After accepting it, she learned to be more independent. Even after she finished high school, she didn't really have any friends left. It was lonely, sure, but she faced it as her reality and tried not to let it get to her. She knew how to enjoy doing her own thing on her own time.

Relation
FriendJack and Plant are exes. Despite this, they're still friends. They dated during high school, but they eventually broke up. They still hang out occasionally. Sometimes they go for walks, other times they get boba together. She still tries to make an effort to support him, like being there when he needs to talk about something.
Ferris
FriendSometimes they exchange messages over text, but it is more than often very few words or just quick greetings. They very rarely hang out in person, but when they do, they usually just chill at the park or watch a movie.
