Huge WIP! Mostly using this profile to spitball ideas for now

Based on the clouded mother-of-pearl butterfly!

A slight bit stuck up due to the way their parents raised them, Sterling is a jeweler with expensive tastes. They have a keen eye and can easily appraise jewelry and gems to tell you whether they're the real deal or not; for a price, of course. Being from such a famous family of jewelers, they were raised with very high expectations and were most certainly a little spoiled. This left them with a "holier than thou" vibe and they often consider themselves above other people, but they're still actually quite friendly despite that.

When Sterling grew into a butterfly, their wings ended up growing abnormally large and weak for their species, leaving them with the complete inability to fly or move their wings much at all. They remain drooped down at all times and look more like a cape than anything. Sterling can still glide by holding their wings out by hand, or wrap them around their body like a sort of cloak if they so choose, but they will never be able to fly. They don't often let it get to them, though they do find themselves wondering what it's like at times.
