About

"Outsider. Invader. Interloper. Foreigner. Alien."

Born out of mere consciousness and dreams, it would be quite obvious to some that Sirius is not native to this world. When he begun, like many of his kind, he lacked a corporeal body; but through imagination and chasing ideas, he had gained a more substantial material form. At home, he transitioned between the states freely, preferring to put aside the body that had far more limitations than the mind.

Still, the extraordinary mind could not fathom how, or why he had end up where he was now. He had been about his own business on another ordinary occasion, and all of a sudden, he wasn't. Here, he had quickly learnt that his body was more material than not, and that his mind could not influence as deeply as it should have. As quickly as he would get distracted by all the new experiences and questions not pertaining to his main problem, Sirius would draw his own attention back to his search for answers.

"Destiny... is just an excuse for those who lack conviction to pursue in fear of failure."

Musings of a star

... Sirius would appear more humanoid towards the day, and it would likely take some scrutinizing to notice anything different. His colours would dull, and his hair would fall unattractively flat. If one paid attention to his strides they might notice that he seems to hover longer above the ground before his feet connects with the path again.

As the sun sets and the night comes, however, his colours would come back, and it might become difficult to ignore the way he glows or the way the colours in his hair seem to swirl. His skin shimmers but it is easy to miss against his pasty complexion. It becomes easier to stay off the ground, but his hair gets harder to manage. On some nights, his radiance might get a little too much for most mortal eyes to stand. If he could be more considerate, he would, but his powers are significantly weaker here...

...Sirius speaks telepathically to those who would allow the connection, but he is not incapable of speech. He practices in solitude, speaking to his own reflection after he learns from those who have mastered control of their material bodies. The lack of confidence can only be corrected with experience. Fumble on words he shan't, and perhaps he might even impress someone someday...

...Gravity can be hard to fathom for his people, Sirius imagines. It drags the body down and leaves one with so little choice... But Sirius doesn't mind it all that much. Sure, it's mildly inconvenient, but it's interesting that there's an order to things. That the apples fall off the tree on their own when they're ready. To have so many things that will become ripe for the picking off the ground is rather handy for a place that bears its people down.

Let it be no secret that Sirius had spent chucking things off a cliff initially, just to watch them fall into the lake below. Still sometimes he forgets that things fall, however, and he occasionally laments his loss when he releases his warm glass of milk with the expectation that it would stay where he left it...

...Of course, Sirius has the desire to return home. But it's not so much because he has found that many reason to dislike it here. It hardly 'sucks', like some people have insisted. He hasn't seen or learnt quite enough of it after all. Perhaps it would do his people some good to learn the things he has learnt; meet the people he has met. There are far too many misconceptions that the inhabitants of this place have of his people that he needs to right.

The more thought he puts into it, the more it seems like a necessity at this point; a way to traverse beyond the sky, to the stars and back... But that must come after he uncovers the reasons behind his current predicament...
