About

[Personality]

O Courteous | Objective | Observant | Studious | Thorough O

“Hmm...Should I care?”

Having already some experience in the entertainment world, Cha In-Soo gives off an air of maturity. He is gentle and courteous to those he meets, constantly showcasing a smile with his appearance. Always keen on keeping up his reputation, when it comes to work he ensures that what comes out of his mouth would do anything but give him trouble. Being observant helps him keep up to date with topics, narrowing down what he should and can talk about in front of his peers. He also keeps a close eye on others, from the tiniest of gestures to their facial expressions. Though he notices things, he doesn’t care for them.

Living out life to his beat, he approaches life with a laissez-faire attitude — he doesn’t focus on what happens around him. Not fazed by gossip and rumors, he continues treating people the same as before. Though he is impartial with how things are around him, it doesn’t mean he treats everything that way. He is very focused and thorough when it comes to his job. With his abundant knowledge gained through studies and his books, he utilizes his skills towards his roles. Researching and applying everything at his disposal — when he chooses a job, his scripts are seen covered in sticky notes and multiple creases from constant use.

Some might think that Cha In-Soo is passionate when it comes to work. How could he not when he’s so prepared with things? There is a reason for his actions and it is because he has a habit of forgetting things. His forgetfulness knows no bounds and can cause a strain on a lot of his relationships. He would arrange to meet someone and leave them hanging for the whole day, all because he forgot. The next day he would shamelessly talk to them like he did no wrong. He views relationships with others to be like a computer. It takes up space in his mind that he’d rather save for things he finds important or worth remembering. Minor conversations and minor tasks get deleted from his mind.

He also likes messing with people as it can give some entertainment to his private life. He twists his words with some lies to confuse his conversation partner. Combined with his ability to forget, the whole situation calls for some disaster. He would tell someone something one moment and tell them something completely different another moment.

Contrary to his appearance, In-Soo can be distant when it comes to personal relationships. He is surprisingly picky with the people he chooses to bring into his private life. As he tends to forget things, he finds it a hassle to explain himself at times. In truth, although he is careful with his words during work, he has no care for them outside of it - his courteous side would diminish and his words would turn into blades. This can potentially cut off multiple relationships he has started.

[Background]

TLDR; Doting parents who got In-soo everything he had interest in. Life became dull. Novels are fun! Villains are fun! Wants to live in a world not like his own -- enters the entertainment world to become a villain actor!

[Full Bio]

Life was dull and at a standstill for as long as he could remember.

Being an only child, In-Soo’s parents doted on him. They made sure to get him whatever he had his eyes set on. The way his eyes shone like amber when he was interested in something captivated his parents. Wanting to see the glow from his eyes led them to get him everything he wanted. It was a win-win situation for his parents as it was a way of showing affection and exposing him to what the world had to offer. In-Soo became exposed to various things surrounding him and like any other child, it fascinated him — in the beginning.

Knowing that he could obtain what he wanted or set his eyes on naturally made him lose interest in things. In-Soo was never vocal with what he wanted -- his parents just guessed and gave things to him. He started to think that it was normal for things to fall within his lap. If he thought of something and it didn’t appear before him, he paid no mind. He lacked the ambition to go after items that were of passing interest.

Amongst the multiple encounters he had in life, he had one thing that enveloped his mind. Novels. The stories inside the pages filled with unknown words were fascinating to him. Searching up the terms from dictionaries, figuring out the meanings, and most of all reading a story portrayed from a different lifestyle was fun. In his dull life, came a novel filled with colors. How fun it would be to live a different life unlike his. The thought crossed his mind and stayed.

Growing up, he soon started to find himself swamped within novels. Mainly mystery novels. Villains' lives were the most colorful to him. He almost wished to be like them for a day. But he resisted. (It would be illegal to be one.) So his alternative was to act it out. Though he liked acting out villainous characters, what he harbored was not passion for acting but passion for a specific character role. Wanting to bring entertainment into his life he looked around for opportunities to take a step into the world of acting.

However, the entertainment world was not as open as he thought. Not having prior experience with acting landed him various odd jobs — mainly modeling. Landing a job with modeling was distasteful to him but he didn’t deny it. He took it as fate for him to model.

A few years later, he heard of a new agency opening up. Wanmei Entertainment — a company that focuses on visuals. They were flexible with what their talents wanted to pursue and provided classes. Though the company looked flashy, it piqued his interest — he wanted to act, he wanted to learn, and he wanted a job that supported his odd infatuation with villainous roles. Changing companies, In-Soo found a place where he could learn how to act. Modeling was still on his agenda as it became a part of his life, but now he could dabble on his first choice of interest.
