Under the night sky in a clearing in the everfree a foal is born. A luna moth lands on the new foal's nose as the scent of lavender fills the parents nostrils.

Luna's parents vanished mysteriously when she was a young foal so she ended up living in the Everfree Forest fending for herself. One day a mysterious striped pony saved her from being eaten by a scary beast and took her in. Her name was Zacora. Zacora plays a big role in who Luna is today and would do anything for her. She raised her to be who she is and is the best mom she could have ever dreamed of. Though she has no memory of her parents she doesn't think they left her on purpose.

Now, Luna resides in a lovely greenhouse style cottage shrouded by magic to keep her hidden. She resides with her girlfriend, Cassia Clove, who she met in Ponyville on her travels to sell herbs and medicinal stock.

Luna is a very relaxed and easy going pony. She get's along easy with others but the moment you cross her she's done with you. She's very kind but can find herself being quite selfish sometimes. She loves all animals but can sometimes struggle carrying relationships with other ponies. Maybe it's because she lives deep in the Everfree or maybe it's because she finds herself depressed and closed off often.
