Like his father's father before him, Mother hailing from Sharlayan, Iemori is a dedicated knight of Ishgard, a family friend of the Rocivoix and Leveilleur families, and always seeming to be wrapped up in his work. He served Ishgard with total dedication, and seemed to allow nothing to distract him from his work. That was, until, he met Makino Ittetsu, a young Raen Au Ra, and found love in her. It wasn't too long before the two were married, and blessed with a healthy baby girl they named Yura. Unfortunately, the family's dream life was cut short when Makino disappeared. Suddenly left alone with an infant daughter, Iemori did everything he could to provide for her, proving to be a very doting and devoted father, sometimes even taking her with him on his travels, while remaining attentive in his duties to Ishgard. He was, however, sometimes forced to seek help from family and friends, who often came in the form of Vetelle Rocivoix and her grandmother, Elvine. Between the three, Yura grew up in a very happy life, but always wondered about her mother. Yura's father feared his child's curiosity, as he feared losing her as well. These fears proved true, as one day, like her mother before her, Yura disappeared. Iemori was heartbroken, but knew that chasing after her a fools errand. In his stead, he asked that Vetelle keep her eyes and ears peeled for the girl, and she was more than happy to oblige. And so he remains, waiting for the day his daughter would come back to him, keeping his faith that she would be strong enough to make it on her own.
Iemori would once again see his daughter upon her return to Ishgard, despite her best attempts to avoid him. the entire family would be reunited one last time until Makino sacrificed her life to buy her husband a daughter time to escape the Vault. The two remain on good terms, and Iemori has accepted Yura's decision to continue her travels, granted she agrees to actually keep in touch this time.
Iemori's father initially fled the Azim Steppe following the Garlean occupation, and found refuge in Ishgard thanks to House Fortemps. He and Iemori have been loyal to the family ever since, and feel they can never truly repay this debt.
