- Although they find patrol rather boring, they enjoy the rush of fighting.
- Their original patrol partner was BLUE SANDSTONE, affectionately nicknamed "BLUE".
- They speak very casual (almost gyaru-speak), considered impolite by Blue Sandstone.
- They end up voluntarily going to the moon, alongside Phosphophyllite and the others.
Moon spends a lot of their time either patrolling or wandering the island in pursuit of a new type of plant to study. They enjoy sketching and studying the flora in their spare time, sometimes even dissecting flowers to look at the different parts that make up its structure. Blue will sometimes join them on their escapades, as he will spend the time studying the fauna of the island and writing down his observations alongside Moon's drawings. More often than not, however, Moon is busy on patrol duty with Blue, on the lookout for Lunarian sunspot activity. They find this tedious and boring - though they like the thrill of battle, sunspots are usually dealt with by gems of a higher class, namely the diamonds. As a result, Moon will find entertainment in sparring with those willing, even asking to use Blue's claymore on some occasions, to no avail (Blue refuses to even consider letting Moon touch his weapon, as it is far heavier than the typical sword).
Often exasperated with the way Blue coddles them, Moonstone rebels against social norms amongst gems and finds enjoyment in riling Blue up. Though sometimes they don't realise exactly how much Blue cares for them, as they see themselves as a burden more often than not, there have been a few drastic situations where Blue has proven his dedication to keeping his battle partner safe. When not teasing Blue for his bizarre hobbies and interests, Moon will spend time with him, studying the island's flora and fauna together. They make a good pair when it comes to studies, and are very coordinated during battle. Moon enjoys making flower crowns on occasion, chasing Blue around in efforts to get him to wear one. Blue has since learned that Moon is a fast runner, and stubbornly persistent.
Moonstone initially is wary of the Lunarians, like any gem should be - they know them to be the beings that take gems to the moon for decorative use, never to be seen again. It is only once they pair up with Sunny that they begin to change their perception; learning more from them that the Lunarians are creatures of wonder, something the gems know next to nothing about, and that there is much to discover about life on the moon. They are convinced by Sunny to join Phos and the others to reside on the moon, ultimately betraying Blue and his detest for the Lunarians, leaving the two on a very bitter departure.
BLUE SANDSTONE [ relationship ]
Blue and Moon are battle partners, matched up due to their similar hardness. Originally they struggled to cooperate, but Sensei had his faith that the two would grow to work in great harmony - ultimately, he was correct in his observations.
SUNSET TOURMALINE [ relationship ]
The two end up being paired for island patrol after Blue and Deman decide to partner up. They find that they get along quite well, having similar wonders about the Lunarians and their curiosity regarding the moon. Both Moonie and Sunny end up joining Phos and co. on the moon to live with the Lunarians.
DEMANTOID GARNET [ relationship ]
Moon knows Deman as Blue's new battle partner - initially a bit peeved that they were made to find someone else as they had grown somewhat attached to Blue, they eventually get over their grudge and learn not to hold it against him as he and Blue work remarkably well together. Moon learns that Blue feels very drawn to Deman, and often teases him for getting so nervous around his partner.
