[2.] Captain Mercury

Mercury:

• Mercury is a humanoid giant Pacific octopus! He is pretty tall and pretty skinny, and he acts about as crazy as he looks.
• He is only a beginner captain, more so calling himself a captain and just wearing captain attire with little to no genuine captain training...
• His grandfather was a true captain, but when he passed, his ship was passed down to Mercury, which is how he ended up wanting to be a captain
• Wasn't the best at taking care of the ship
• He had a small crew. However, they all went overboard during a storm..including a child that had a blue whale plushy
• Mercury kept the blue whale plushy and turned it into what is now his 'captain' hat
• He is afraid of cotton balls..of all things
• Despite being half octopus, he cannot swim very well
• When his ship inevitably started sinking, he ended up abandoning it
• Has anger issues, but also loves to annoy and anger others for fun
• Uses a whip as a weapon or usually is just pretty reckless with it.
• Uses his tentacles to trip others sometimes. (Accidentally trips himself as well)
• He has 6 tentacles and they drag on the ground, causing them to be sore often
• He found himself climbing aboard a Navy ship owned by Hayes after his own ship sunk. Hayes for some reason allowed him on the ship even though outsiders were not welcome on the Navy ship...this angered many of the sailors aboard.
• He found himself exploring the Navy ship, knowing he was disliked by the sailors only made him feel good. He likes the attention
• Is very very close with Hayes, which shocks most of the sailors
• Loves to annoy and pester Hayes any given chance. Mercury is the only member on the ship that is not a part of the Navy crew
• Loves to drink Rum
• Feeds seagulls often since he doesn't have much to do on the ship besides bother Hayes
• Very good at manipulation
• Likes to just grab fish out of the water and eat them
• Annoyed by high pitched noises
• Enjoys Hayes' company...very..much.
• Wants to eventually become part of the Navy crew, maybe even as high up as Hayes..but at the same time, he turns down the offer of training to be a Navy Sailor because he can be pretty lazy. So i don't know how he's gonna become part of the Navy for real when he is being lazy.
• Just some crazy guy
