After dying young in an accident in which she herself caused, Charlotte originally just went to the usual sort of afterlife thing. However, this quickly changed when she noticed the absence of one girl in particular and realised that said girl was living as a ghost back on Earth. Her jealousy and rage built up to the point of her turning into a youkai - Specifically, a vengeful spirit. Now living as a youkai, Charlotte has grown up into a mischevious young girl that uses her childish appearance to her advantage.
About
Taking very much after her father, Charlotte is clever and cunning. She was notorious for manipulating the other children in her classes and always managed to get out of any trouble she was accused of. In the eyes of her dad, she could do no wrong. She was a perfect little angel and if anything did happen at home, it was always her brother to blame. Some of her teachers started to note her strange obsession with candles and, by extension, fire. She apparently watched the fire safety demonstration in fascination and, her fixation on the beauty of fire is what led to her untimely demise as she started a fire in the workshop basement and became trapped.
With her renewed life as a youkai, Charlotte has become the classic example of a mischevious spirit that still manipulates and tricks people to get her way. Be it free food, clothes or anything else she takes a fancy to, she knows how to get what she wants from all types of people. Maybe that's how she managed to manipulate her way into her own free penthouse apartment?!

Candle Queen
Becoming a youkai has given the girl the abilities often associated with them. In Charlotte's case, she can control fire. At first, her flames weren't very strong, but since fire is a special interest of hers, Charlotte has quickly gone about training herself in her new skills.
Ain't afraid of no ghost
The nature of how she became a youkai allows Charlotte to see not only other youkai in disguise, but ghosts and spirits.
Sickly sweet
Charlotte's appearance is deceptively cutesy and sweet. Most people assume she's just an innocent little girl until she robs them blind and disappears.

[ Father ] Being a total Daddy's girl, Charlotte adores her father and woud happily do anything to impress him. In his eyes, she can do no wrong, much the chagrin of her poor brother.

[ Mother ] Charlotte wasn't particularly close with her mother, but she did look up to her mother's work ethic when it came to household tasks

[ Friend? ] The two were close friends before Samantha's death and now, Charlotte is unsure if Sammie still likes her. Truthfully, Sammie feels betrayed by the girl and hates how blindly Charlotte will defend her father.
