Having grown up with with an extreme gear racer for a father, Rebecca had developed a need for speed and thrills at an early age, as a result of this she was always getting into some kind of trouble. Weather it was getting hurt trying to do one of her dad's tricks or just taking a ride on a nice day, she always seemed happiest on her bike.

Later in life Rebecca eventually went and got herself a motorcycle, something that was "more her speed". When she wasn't watching races she was either taking care of that bike or wandering around town.

Unfortunately, one day while riding around in Emerald Hill she was caught off guard by a stray group of badnicks. Feeling a surge of adrenaline she revved the engine of her motorcycle and charged them. She managed to take out a few of them but that joyride would soon end as a buzz bomber dove into her tire causing her to lose control and drive off a rather steep drop, she blacked out somewhere mid fall.

Once she had woken up she was greeted by a female blue jay who seemed to be waiting for her to wake up. Rebecca started to ask a series of questions as she lifted the covers from the bed she had been placed in, only to freak out even more to find that her legs were now replaced with robotic ones, now that she thought about it there was something on her back as well but she couldn't tell what it was.

The blue jay offered her a cup of tea as well as an explanation on what happened, not like Rebecca could turn her down, she had no idea what was going on. She took a deep breath and took the tea the lady was offering. After several minutes the hyena had learned the result of the crash she had earlier, her legs were severely injured and had to be amputated, as for what was on her back...It was the engine of her motorcycle.

"Must've been on hell of a fall, for that bike to come apart like that." The blue jay said before explaining that the engine was all ready attached to her by the time she had arrived.

After taking sometime to wrap her head around everything that had happened the blue jay offered to let her stay at her place for awhile while she adjusted to her new legs and body structure, Rebecca obviously accepted the offer and stayed there for at least a month. In that time there were various changes and adjustments made to her legs, the most prominent of which was allowing converting the feet of the legs into extreme gear.

As Rebecca left she waved good bye to the blue jay and thanked her for her help and hospitality before putting that month of adjusting to good use as she revved the engine that was now on her back and dashed off towards home. As expected, when she got home things were a bit more difficult, having an engine on your back would do that after all, but she adjusted over time. While things aren't exactly perfect the way they are now, they always could've been worse, and that fact is what pushes Rebecca to keep going.
