Born to a Japanese father and a Chinese mother, Xin grew up in a happy bilingual household! However, his world shifted when his parents passed away in a car accident a year ago, leaving his older sister (by 10 years) and him in the care of their parental grandparents. Not wanting to burden the elderly couple, his older sister is the one takes care of him as well as the household chores too. As a result, Xin wanted to grow up to be a reliable person that could let his sister retire early! He put his education above everything else and became really quiet and studious. He wasn’t really happy with the situation, but he also wasn’t unhappy since he had a goal to strive for!!

However, his sister didn’t like that he felt like he was growing up too quickly... She wanted him to have a childhood just like she had!! So she told him that it was alright to mess around and follow what his heart wants to do! After all, he was still young! Grades didn’t matter much yet! The saying “Give an inch, take a mile” is perfect for what happens next. The next day she was called by the school because Xin never went to school. He instead hung out with a stray dog that he found all day. With every visit to the principal office, she kind of regretted telling him that- but she never took the words back because she knew what she said was right. She just hopes that he’ll calm down soon (he hasn't as of yet.)

Prologue

It was a mundane day, nothing out of the ordinary. He had slept late the night before because he stayed up binge-ing a shounen manga, which landed him in detention after the teacher caught him sleeping in class. It was yet another impuslive idea, but it was one of the best idea that he had ever made. (In his perpsective, at the very least.)
