Nagi is a seeker.
Seeker made synthetic before birth by a mysterious sect in order to be the guardian of what they believe to be a secondary Tree of Life in the Southern Forest, albeit a "juvenile" one that hasn't produced cocoons yet. Filled with butterfly pea flower tea as it's believed to be sacred. Lives alone in a cave formed by the roots of the tree, with the entrance covered by butterfly pea vines. The rest of the group lives in the surrounding canopy, in a treehouse village, and does not interact often with him since he is the blessed guardian—which causes him to feel rather lonely, not that he'd admit it.
Nagi practices a martial art that mixes physical combat with a smidgen of magic (that's where the floating orbs come in.) He is a pacifist however and it is practically only for ceremonial use. The orbs are inherited from the previous guardian and are made from the condensed blood of the mostly human followers. Nagi does not agree with the practice behind them but could not turn them down.
