Profile
HUNTER OF MONSTERS AND MEN
BASICS
Usually the first thing people notice about Lev (aside from his sheer size) is the myriad of scars decorating his skin — but what most people don't know is that they are self-inflicted. Such is the way of the blood hunter, who calls on the primal magic in their blood to perform hemomantic rites in their efforts to rid the world of evil.
" IT TAKES A MONSTER TO DESTROY A MONSTER. "
APPEARANCE
The first thing most people notice about Lev is his size — not only is he tall for a human, standing at 6'4, but he is also broad, his figure accentuated by layers of thick, defined muscle. White hair stands out against chestnut-tinted skin that is marred by a myriad of scars, all varying in length and make. His neutral expression is usually a vague frown, a thoughtful knitting of the brows.

BACKSTORY
prologue
Lev was too young to remember his parents by the time they died. From what he was told, Ilya and Karina were well-liked among members of their order, both talented in the rites of hemocraft. That is... until one of them succumbed to the curse which all members of their order must learn to overcome: the curse of the lycanthrope.
The three year old boy was found covered in his parents' blood. For years, he didn't speak.
Lorna Stonejaw, the dwarven Glassblade who found the orphaned child, brought him home to her wife, Irina. While they hadn't been particularly close friends with the Kovalchuks, Lorna still felt that it was her duty to care for her fallen comrades' orphaned child in their stead. Soon, they both agreed to raise the boy as their own.
chapter one.
The Stonejaw-Nurmi household was a loving one, albeit quiet. Lorna spent her days patrolling the village of Palebank for monsters and raiders, while Irina taught him the ways of the woods, namely foraging and tracking. He learned to make herbal tinctures, hearty stews, and campfires. Though their home was small and quiet, its humbleness was a comfort for young Lev.
There was a local boy named Ivan who took to bullying Lev whenever he got the chance — that is, until one fateful incident. Ivan chased the younger boy onto a frozen lake, where eventually the ice cracked under him and he fell, his muscles immediately seizing up from the cold. Ivan pulled him out and brought the smaller boy home, where his mum warmed him up. Not once did the older boy leave Lev's side: he apologized for having treated him so poorly, and swore from that day on to protect Lev. Young Lev took to calling his new friend Vanya, and the two were thick as thieves ever since.
