Nyeusi

Nyeusi translates to black in Swahili. As typical of new cubs, he was born nearly markingless. His pelt was a dark gray for the exception of the minimal white on his paws and in his tail tuft. His parents thought him to have a strong coat, black being a bold color. In addition, the color is usually associated with being mysterious. As he got older his coat started to change. Bright stripes of gold and silver started to spread out over his pelt. His parents were a little concerned. Neither of them had markings of similar design. It wasn't too uncommon they supposed but definitely not expected. However the horns that he had on his nose were not anticipated in the slightest. What was seen as strong and mysterious was now seen as dark and foreboding. They abandoned him, leaving him to find his own way. Since having to fend for himself, he's managed to define himself in a new way.
