Design Notes:

• Built like an oriental shorthair cat (lanky and angular; convex snout)
• Based on a Northern Gannet 
• Extremely long, thin wings ("active soaring" in this ref)
• Short, pointed/diamond-shaped bird tail
• Dorsal and ventral wing markings are different  (ventral are lighter and only on flight feathers; dorsal are darker and on flight feathers and the "wrist" of the wing)
• Short, sleek fur
• Smooth, well-kempt mane
• A bit taller than average, though her body build gives the illusion of being even taller than she is

Character Notes:

• She's retired, but spends almost as much time volunteering for charities as she did working before she retired.
• When she's not volunteering, she can usually be found tending to her bird feeders and native plant garden.
• She also loves to get lost in a good book and can often be found reading in her garden during her down-time.
• She LOVES to write letters back and forth with loved ones who live far away! She likes to make her own stationary with recycled greeting cards and magazines.
• Don't bother emailing her -- she'll just respond several weeks later with "It's so nice to hear from you! You should write me a letter sometime." and not address a single thing you wrote in your email. The only reason she has an email at all is because her grandkids staged an intervention and helped her create one.
• Loves to give gifts! She keeps a calendar of all her loved ones' birthdays so she doesn't forget a single one.
• Most of the gifts she gives are purchased from charity fundraisers, so sometime you'll get some lovely handmade jewelry or a good book, and other times you'll get... light bulbs? Also, she has a habit of announcing what the gift is on the To/From tag, so don't expect any big surprises.
