Shizuka: They have the cutest and sweetest dates, literally.

One year, Mahari got an ice cream cake for Shizuka's birthday, having asked Shizuka's family if she could make/bring a cake for a surprise party. Shizuka returns the favour for Mahari's next birthday, with having a cake that had the Legend of Zelda theme, especially with fairies.

STORY

Mahari's family owns the Star Bit arcade in town. Her grandparents raised their kids here. 

Grandparents have retired and passed the arcade on to her parents, who will pass it on to Mahari when she's ready.

Mahari attended the college closest to town for Business so that she could learn how to take on more responsibilities with the Star Bit arcade, as one day she would soon own. Absorbed into her school work, she knew that if she studied hard and focused, she could play harder later. 

The Star Bit arcade/gaming cafe is more than it seems. There's something magical about this place, where one can be transported to any of the games.

While for the most part, Mahari goes into games alongside her friends to let them experience their favourite worlds, there are times where random people got sucked into the game and she had to go into them to bring them back out.

+ Mahari is African American for "forgiver"; Chibana is Japanese for "one thousand blossoms"
+ In her bedroom there are fairy lights, a Star Fragment lamp, Nintendo consoles and handhelds.
+ Favourite Games: the Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Kirby, Mario Kart,  Kingdom Hearts, arcade games. In Pokemon, her favourites are grass and  fairy types.
+ The Star Bit menu has sections titled Start-ers, Option Select, Multiplayer, Party Platters, and Potions. All arcade machines have Mahari as the top high scores under the name NIN/NES.
+ She has bottles of Fairy Tonic (Breath of the Wild), Fairy Tears (Twilight Princess), and of fairies from the Legend of Zelda series (Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Skyward Sword). She also has a Fairy Doll (Wind Waker).
+ The flowers in Mahari's hair that look like they're from specific video games are exactly that- flowers that she plucked from those worlds when she used it as a form of escapism.
