Shion is a fun, even tempered man who enjoys socializing and travel. He's the type to walk up to random strangers and just start a conversation. He has a bucket list a mile long full of activities like sky diving, swimming with sharks, etc etc etc - most people are surprised to learn what a thrill seeker he is. He also enjoys art and would like to make comics about his life some day. Shion currently works for Madame Savage, but before that he was a train conductor who got to see the entire country as it collapsed. 

Percy grew up with his half brothers in Tokyo.  His parents divorced and his mother remarried a man from Italy, whom Shion was always suspicious of. The whole family moved to the USA a long time before the apocalypse. Shion was one of the few people in the world still interested in a higher education given the state of near-apocalypse at the time, and pursued a degree in chemistry. While in school he met Adelaide Rind, a meeting he would come to forget. He, like many others, ended up being one of her guinea pigs. As a result of the experiments ran on him, parts of his body decay and rot away only to regenerate.
