Personality
Matcha has a very timid personality, especially for a saiyan. He's very drawn back and doesn't enjoy fighting at all. However, he will open up to someone once they've made clear that they mean no harm to him. He tends also to be very polite and is scared of coming off as a burden, but also will take any chance to help out the people he cares for.
Design notes
- Matcha should be drawn about the same height as characters like Dr Hedo or Krillin to stick to Dragon Ball's proportions.
- His bunny and smiley face pins/stickers are used on all of his outfits.

Backstory
Matcha was born and raised into the Frieza force, his parents were some of the few saiyans still left after the destruction of planet Vegeta. Despite them (presumably) still being alive, Matcha never had the chance to even meet them. He wasn't treated well by the other soldiers, as he wasn't skilled in combat and labelled as ''useless'' because of his inability to turn into an Oozaru. He even went unnoticed by Frieza for the majority of the time.
As soon as he turned 18 and learned how to pilot a ship, he snuck off to set out on his own journey by stealing one of the old cargo ships. He set out on a self-appointed mission to research and document as many living life forms as he could come across. Both out of his own interest and in case another planet was wiped out by the Frieza force or a similar party, he thought it was a shame to let living being go undocumented.
8 years after he set off on his mission, an encounter with a hostile ship caused him to make a crash landing on Earth, where he crashed in an uninhabited area close to the Capsule Corp premises. Due to his sips familiar appearance, Bulma and Vegeta were the first ones to inspect the site of the crash. After making clear that he meant no harm, Bulma showed interest in his research and gave him a position at the company. She thought the information he'd gathered over the years would make for a useful resource.
During his time working at Capsule Corp he met Dr. Hedo, who he quickly seemed to bond with and eventually ended up in a romantic relationship with.
Trivia
- The bunny sticker on Matcha's armor is actually the Dutch character Miffy
- Matcha doesn't have a traditional saiyan name as he changed it himself a long time ago. Instead of being derived from a vegetable, it's derived from the traditional Japanese tea of the same name.
- Matcha is my self-insert character! he was made after my first Dragon Ball self insert, Margo, developed too much of a personality of her own and I felt that she didn't represent me as a person anymore.
