Doc Is rather neurotic and excitable, they believe in extreme methods and refuse to let the bounds of rules stop them. They love to talk to people and pick their brains, finding it much more interesting to talk to others than keep quiet. The only code they abide by is if someone tells them they don't want Doc to do something they will quickly stop.

Doctor was born a victim of the system, from the day they were born they bounced from foster home to foster home. Being intersex made them a point of intrigue to potential parents including their first long-term foster parents, an old religious couple who named them Gabriel, they treated them as a miracle more than a child. It was when they found their precious angel dissecting a squirrel in their room that they thrust young Doctor back into the system. Doctor would spend the first fourteen years of their life bouncing from house to house.
Doctor was adopted formally at fifteen, their family was a small megar one with another child, one who was two years older than Doctor. This family; when tasked with dealing with Doctors intrest in discetion the family put them in a proper school, nursing their interest in anatomy instead of forcing it away. Doctor tested in and out of a prestigious medical school going to univisity at the age of 17, the young Doctor excelled, working towards a dual major in Neurology and Biology. Yet the course at school became slow and Doctor eventually found interest in taking apart animals they found in the street once again, Doctor found a sickly stray cat, curiosity killed the cat and Doctor did what they did best. Unbeknownst to them this cat was one their sister Gaia had been feeding, Gaia hated Doctor, she hated how pompous and weird they were, and she decided to give them a tase of their own medicine, bringing them to the woods with a few of her friends and slicing their stomach open. The only reason Doctor survived was because one of Gaias friends couldn’t stomach it and called the cops.
After this incident Doctor found themsevles desprate to escape. This tate of their own medicine made them desprate to escape. With little to no notice the 19 year old Doctor ran away, running across the world to finish their studies and escape their family. Doctor spent most of their time studying in Russia, building up their degree and experimenting with a neuroscience, escally the generation of memory and stemcells. On a trip out of Russia Doctor found themself face to face with an oddity, a person who could not feel pain. Finding such a willing patient was one and a million. Now the two are inseparable, both working to complete the research Doctor set up so long ago.
Doctor met them within their first year of travel, the two are inseprable, what is a Doctor without their Patient after all?
Hofmann was Doctors closest and really only friend back home, they wish they could just explain why they left without a word, yet it's all too much. Hofmann will always he their favorite "Ex"
