A gal that puts Family, Friends, Tradition, Heritage, and Peace above all else in this Life. She has been to Hell and back and come out scarred but living anew. She doesn't believe in lying in any situation as Life never does such to anyone--instead she uses brutal honesty and sometimes harsh wording to get her points across in such times. She can be harsh and ruthless but doesn't always mean to come off as such--at least some of the time.

A very simple woman that loves the simplest things in life: a warm home, loved ones, a good book, and a nice hot cup of coffee. There isn't anything better to Orie in this world than that! But overly protective, loyal to a fault and a hot temper with a foul mouth to go with it all; Orielyn is quite an odd gal. She is passionate in everything she puts her mind to whether it be writing stories and profiles for her many critters or working on craft projects and helping with homework.
She takes care of her business and has no problem doing it all on her own if need be. She has never been one to like to lean on others and at times this has gotten her into trouble but she has always pulled through with a smirk on her face-regardless of the wounds that aren't seen. She speaks the truth with gusto and at times doesn't realize how "cruel" she can come off--but she has a policy of never "sugar-coating shit as in the end it's still shit." But in the grand scheme of things, Orie sees life for what it truly is and will always try to remain positive, up-lifting, and strong; even when at times it is hard for her to do so for herself.
as a mother
"A Mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take..."
Orie is a mother above all else. She cares deeply for her owlets and wants only the best for them (even if at times they get upset with her for telling them "no"). She decided long ago when she first was blessed with being a Momma, that she would have no one else in her life. She wanted all the attention for her babies.
That's not to say she hasn't tried to let others in, but all have proven to be a lost cause. Thus, she has decided to take on the single Momma role with pride and joy! It takes a strong person to be a single being; but an even stronger person to be a single parent and still manage to take control of their business without fail.
It is in this knowledge that drives Orie to continue to do as she has always done: take charge and keep bulldozing no matter what stands in her way. She swore to protect and care for her family and she damn well means to by any means she sees fit. Not everyone agrees with her and her choices but those choices she has made is what has kept her family going this long. She'll be damned if she stops now!

For a long time Orie didn't let anyone close to her, her kids, or her heart. They had all been played, stabbed, burnt, and somehow managed to climb from the blood soaked holes they'd been laid within. She was extremely protective to the point that many just considered her "too much of a waste of time" or "too much baggade," which to her was fine. She didn't need, nor want, anyone in her life. She had her kids, her job, her home, and that was all she needed.
That was until a true man showed up in her life. He wasn't a smooth talker. No he spoke the truth even when it was brutally honest and hurt others' feelings--it was something Orie respected. He didn't try to lay on thick the promises and paint a pretty picture as so many had before him. He was himself right from the start.
He could be an asshole but he never turned that nature towards her and the kids. In fact he showered them with more love and affection than Orie was used too. She didn't know what to think and truth be told she was afraid more than anything. She didn't want to find herself falling for him, let alone let him around her kids. They'd all been through enough pain and hell.
But in a fashion all his own, he won over the hardened heart that Orie had created. He even went as far as to say: "if your kiddos don't like me, then that is the deciding factor. We shall remain friends and nothing more." It broke Orie's hardened heart, melting the stone cold walls she'd built up around herself in order to protect everything she held dear.
She agreed to his words and allowed him to meet her sun, moon, stars--her absolute world: her kiddos. It wasn't "trust at first sight" but in time and a few family outings, the kiddos began to trust him. It was enough for Orie. Even though she still asked them if they are okay with everything and how their life is moving forward now.
A powerhouse of creativity and lover of character designing and world building. She gives Orie that breath of fresh air when shit hits the fan; and it's nothing to find them talking for hours from anything to nothing to characters and back again! The Sister that Orie would do anything for without a second thought (nor questions asked). Also the BEST aunt to Orie's kiddos!!
A boss all her own! She is a powerhouse that thrives in chaos and one that never is afraid to call Orie out on her shit. A beloved, dearest, trusted friend that Orie will forever be grateful for having in her life!
An absolutely amazing guy that Orie loves being able to call a dear friend! His imagination for his own characters and their lore is sublime; and his support for Orie's own stories and characters is a blessing!
The steadfast sister that tends to keep Orie grounded--or at least she tries her hardest too! She's the one that always reminds Orie that there is more to life than just characters--especially when things are spiraling quickly out of control..
