Profile
Achenar was born and bred a soldier of the Council, grown in one of the thousands of cloning-vats. She grew up and fought with the Zans in a hundred conflicts and, when her term of service ended at the age of thirty-six and she was given her freedom, she used most of her money to pay for a starship, skipping straight past the cranky ancient Soyuz capsules with a cargo hold and a surfboard (spacer slang for a gravity drive) and bought a decommissioned Cryza cruiser with its defensive weaponry still intact. She took the name Achenar from the star (α Eri in the constellation of Eridanus) her dropship was orbiting when she received her honourable discharge.
She's about 5'6" tall, with olive-brown skin, dark brown hair, and dark eyes. She has fine, sharp features and a lithe, tough frame, which is normally covered by thick grey coveralls, and sometimes by a vac-suit or even a hard-suit. Her right arm is cybernetic, as well as her right shoulder, several ribs, and her right lung. Her left foot is also cybernetic, although as she usually wears shin-high lightweight slipper-boots, it's hard to tell at first. She permanently has dark bags under her eyes and a slightly exhausted, harried look about her.
