Monarch lived a strict childhood, filled to the brim with rules, harsh discipline, and otherwise absent parents. He comes from a Kingdom hidden in a forest where runes are carved into every tree, protecting the woods, and subsequently the Kingdom, from outside harm. Due to the value placed on runes, his antlers were carved with protective runes from the moment they started to grow. He does not entirely know how relationships of any kind work, and can be awkward and distant as a result.
