Personality:

Koda is an absolute sweetheart. She'll do anything to protect the people she cares about, even if that means risking her own life. She is also, however, very impulsive and reckless, and hardly looks after herself. She's very smart, but she definitely comes off very spacey. She never backs down from a challenge, and doesn't like losing them either. She's a little boastful, but she always means well and often worries that she isn't doing enough.

Story:

Koda was born princess of the Kingdom of Brightree, Argia. In Argia, there are seven ruling kingdoms throughout the land, Brightree, Steelsong, Cupidhearth, Stagsinger, Coldkeep, Deephelm, and Hallowflame. Brightree, being the center of the land, typically has the most power and is ruled over by King Donner, Koda's father. The royalty for these kingdoms is chosen based on who developes magic power as they grow, causing the previous monarch to lose their powers. Typically, these powers are passed on genetically to the monarch's firstborn, so Donner had assumed that Koda's older brother, Arthur, was next in line. When Koda was born, she had two bumps on her back (that would later grow into her wings), and Donner frowned upon this, feeling she was not the perfect princess their kingdom should have. He subsequently strips her of her title as princess, and assigns her to work as a guard in the castle dungeons, out of the public eye. As the years go by, Donner starts to feel weaker and weaker, and he knows that the next in line for the throne is growing. When he discovers that Arthur has not developed any magic powers, he sets out on a quest to find who has, and kill them to take the powers for himself. This is when he sees a young Han in the Brightree's market, and notices his distinct purple markings. He has the king's guard arrest Han, and locks him in the dungeon until he can figure out of he is the next king or not. This is where Han and Koda meet. Koda, charged with watching Han in the dungeons 24/7, breaks her father's rules and gets to know Han. The two very quickly become very close friends. Neither of them know why he was arrested, and she starts to realize that something is wrong. Donner eventually figures out that certain emotions can trigger someone into revealing their powers ahead of time, and so he sets out to scare Han into revealing if he is the next Crown. He succeeds, and it's reveal that Han is magical, and is next in line for the throne of Songsteel, but Donner decides he must die anyway. Koda, in an act of desperation steps in to stop Donner from harming Han, and in the process reveals that she, too, is magic and is the next Queen of Brightree. She manages to hold off Donner and his knights long enough for Han to escape, but loses him in the process. She escapes as well, and runs out into the nearby woods. It's while she's running here, where she bumps into a 4 year old Clyde, who has just lost his family. Koda vows to protect her, and the two run away to a nearby clearing in the woods and set up camp. 12 years later, while wandering around the woods, Koda runs into Han, who has been looking for her for the past few months. Han informs Koda that all the future monarchs of the kingdoms have started losing control and harming others with their magic and nobody knows why. Koda, Han, and Clyde all team up to rescue the monarchs, who turn out to be Jack, Avvisa, and Milo. The six of them then agree that they all need to unite to take down Donner and the other corrupt monarchs of Argia to bring peace back to their homeworld.
