Tomoe

Personality

Tomoe can really only be summarized as Extra. He is loud, un-embarrassed, and open about everything. Don't tell him any secrets, he's very unlikely to keep them due to his big mouth. He can be a little scatter brained sometimes, and late to EVERYTHING! When things become serious, he becomes a bit more panicked and searches dramatically for help from his left and right hand, Sedona and Nova.

Tomoe is val-shenn's biggest flirt and proud owner of The Playground. He is flirty with all of his girls and guys and thinks life should be enjoyed to the fullest. While playful and silly in the presence of his gang and business, he's very unbothered by rival gangs, and takes anything said to him by them with 0 face value and sees it as a playful game. Especially with his brother, Tozoku's group. When it comes to Tozoku, he'll intentionally antagonize him for the lulz.

Tomoe will often cross into Tozu's territory just to "see his sweet baby brother's face", and loves to get Tozu's lackeys in trouble by sneaking past them. Loves to cause trouble for others, finds it absolutely hilarious.

While Tomoe can be very loud and obnoxious most times, there are moments where he's calm and quiet, and its usually in the presence of Nova and Sedona. He finds peace with them, having been along side them for...well forever! They keep him in check and on task, honestly without those two cuties, Criminal damage would have collapsed ages ago. Will accidentally add more and more to Sedona and Nova's plate without their consent, due to this they rarely take breaks. Whenever they return, its just chaos.

He constantly flirts with the two of them and gets brushed off easily. But he knows in his heart they are his everything, like the family he never got to have. He feels safe with them and trusts them with his life and would never dare betray them. Actually keeps secrets they tell him. On off days, he will take them out to dates and play at arcades or go to botanical gardens with them, spoiling them and buying anything that makes their eyes sparkle.

Another soft spot that Tomoe has is his pet bird, Pashmina, who he reared by hand himself. She is a little...off looking, to say the least, he found her while chasing off some kems who tried to break into *Business name*, it seemed they were familiar smugglers and were trying to steal some of the high value pets that his workers had, while chasing after them, he heard this pitiful squak and found a bald and bulgey eyed Pashmina laying on an ice cold street. At first he didnt think anything of the bird, thinking it would be better to let her die in the icy Light city winter, even considering offing her himself. But, for some strange reason, the naked bird really tugged at his heart strings. He brought her home and has been close with her ever since, taking her on every mission and business meeting. He even had Nova make her a bomber jacket that says "Salmonella" on it.

Tomoe's Ex, Tahksi, brings out a really different side of him, making him seem cold and dark all while being playful and mean all at the same time. The two cross paths often, seeming to feel the air with a stifling feeling of...lust? Anger? Hate? Love?? It's complicated. He's always in an off again, on again, type of relationship with her. Their moods with one another really determine if their gangs are in peace with one another or at war.

But even given all of this, Tomoe still lives his life to the fullest, he does his best to keep any depressive thoughts at bay. While he's grown accustomed to the sight of death, that doesn't mean it doesn't weight down on him, especially when his own are lost. He always does his best not to over do it and will definitely spare a life before taking one.

History

Tomoe grew up with his two younger brothers, Tozoku and Tetsuo, in the dry lands of *Desert area name*. Unlike them, he got to know his father, and how much of a scum bag he was. Father would hit him and his mother any time he was drunk, or high on drugs, then would leave to go do work for the gang he was employed by. Tomoe was naturally protective of his family, and would take the beatings for Tozku and Tetsuo so they would never be harmed, often crouching over them to ensure their safety. One day, father left, saying how disgusted he was that their mother could bear such ugly children and how useless they were, never brining in any money for him to take and gamble off.

After losing everything, Tomoe and mama found an old, abandoned, and decrepit building to call home. It wasn't the best by any means, holes allowed sandy winds to enter, and any time it would rain, they would be soaked, but it would keep them somewhat sheltered. Tomoe and mama worked hard to take care of the younger brothers. Mama worked two jobs and Tomoe would pick up odd jobs that a 10 year old could manage. Tomoe has always considered himself hard working and would work up to 18 hours a day if it meant putting food on the table for his family. All he knew was that he never wanted to be apart of a gang, like his scum father. He wanted to earn an honest living and provide well for his baby brothers and mama!

This worked well for 4 years, Tomoe and mama tag teamed work and made enough to scrape by, they would even splurge every now and again, buying an extra gallon of milk or name brand snacks and cereals. As Tomoe aged, he was able to do more reliable work, and even had an interview lined up to start work at a grocery shop not too far from their home. Mama and Tomoe saved up a good chunk of money to put torwards buying a proper home for all of them to live in. Right when he felt like they were getting closer and closer to a better life, mama got horribly sick. So horribly sick that she couldn't leave the home any more, she could barely walk most days, and holding food down was getting hard too.

Tomoe took everything they had in savings to get her to a healer, the outcome wasn't good, but Tomoe swore he would work harder to afford the treatments mama needed to get better. He had to find something that paid well, consistently, and quickly as well. He ran all across *desert name* to find a reliable and well paying job, but had little luck. While many jobs were willing to hire him due to his good reputation, many weren't paying enough to even afford one treatment. He heard rumors of a job that did all of the things he was looking for, only for him to find out it was working for a gang. The same gang his dad worked for. But what choice did he have. After several days of debating, crying, and anger, he finally decided to commit to the gang, Criminal Damage.

He worked hard, as he always did, and would often come home too exhausted to spend time with the family, but he always ensured they ate, and that mama was taking her medicine. The gang life kept him busy, he didnt even get to watch his brothers grow up, only catching small glimpses of them when bringing home food and meds. Eventually, he was kept so busy that the faces of his brothers became a blur, and even his mother became foggy. His boss promised to take care of his family, personally seeing to them, brining them anything they could need. Tomoe was told one day after about a year of working there that his family was finally moved into a new home, and that mama was doing better. Even though he was tired and exhausted, he finally felt like all of his hard work paid off. While working, he befriended a lively kem named Nova, who showed him the ropes and taught him all there was to know. This formed a strong bond between the two, along with another kem *maybe, confirm with sissy*. Eventually the pair/trio grew inseparable, doing everything together.

One day, Tomoe decided it was finally time to see his new home, and to see how much his family was thriving. He asked Nova (And Sedonna, maybe?) to come with him to meet his family. They had to pry the address off of another kem who seemed a little reluctant to even tell Tomoe anything, but once the info was obtained, they made haste to the home. Once they got there, it was nothing but an empty lot. No home, not even a dilapidated one. Just...concrete with some stray strands of grass. Tomoe didnt understand what was going on, where was his family at? He headed back to the old home.

There, he did not find what he was hoping for. The smell of sickness and death seeped from the holes and cracks of the home, as he searched the house, he found full bottles of medicine, and an empty fridge with nothing but roaches inside. He found nothing of Tozoku or Tetsuo, panicked, he and his partner(s) searched all around the neighborhood, having no luck finding anything. Tomoe ended up back at home, finding a shallow grave in the back yard. His heart dropped to his stomach when he saw the lovely white paws of his mother, how long had she been gone...did she die from her sickness? Did someone kill her? What happened to his brothers, were they dead too? He frantically searched all over the home, digging up any rocks and pushing away any rubble, thankfully nothing showed signs of the brothers being dead. With a shaky breath, he asked Nova (and sedonna) to help him find a proper burial site for his mother.

As days passed and Mama was finally laid to rest in a proper place, he started to mentally break down. His family, everything he fought for, was gone. He requested the kems that did like him, keep an eye out for his baby brothers. He also started to do research, why would his boss lie to him, why would he allow his family to be hungry, to die like wild monsters. The anger, frustration, and despair welled in his chest, eventually finding out that his boss never once went to check on his family. Not one time, never sent any money to them as Tomoe requested, and never even remembered their names. Once he heard this, all he could see was red, then black, and before he knew it, he woke up, caked in blood and tufts of fur. He killed his boss, and felt no shame.

After the death of his boss, he was crowned the new king of Criminal Damage. While just a petty gang, he wanted to do more with it than just collecting small debts and dealing drugs. While working out his life, he always searched high and low for his brothers. Always loving them and wishing for their safe return.

As years went by, Tozoku was finally found! The excitement Tomoe felt could not be described, but imagine his disappointment when Tozoku stated he wanted nothing to do with a traitor like Tomoe. This caused Tomoe's mental state to snap, he gave everything for his family, he lost his family, and gave up his own life, only to be treated this way. Tomoe reclused, not really knowing what to do with his life. He attempted to end his life several times, feeling like everything was for naught and wondering why he was even left to live in such a shitty world. Sedonna and Nova kept him alive though, and helped provide him purpose and reason to keep going. While his relationship with his brother would never be the same, he was still glad that he managed to survive everything.

To this day he is always searching for Tetsuo, he's heard rumors here and there about him but has yet to actually find his baby brother. At this point he's not sure what to expect upon finding him again.

As Tomoe grew and accepted his life style, he managed to find a way to make money that felt right to him, providing an escort service where no one was hurt for petty crimes, and no one was killed, but money flowed in large waves. Since switching to this type of job, he lives his life to the fullest, being as loud and extra as he wants, never wanting to go back to the dark days of his past.

Nova Left hand
Nova has known Tomoe since they were kids, but they never really interacted until he joined Criminal Damage. Nova will simp for any kemata that /isn't/ Tomoe, and will gush about handsome kems she has her eyes on. When it comes to Tomoe, she considers him like "one of the bros" and will often play fight and wrestle with him. The two have always made a good team, putting their minds together to come up with successful plans on how to tackle jobs. When they were both just grunts, Nova took Tomoe under her wing. Although he wanted nothing to do with the gang life, she definitely made adjusting to it a lot easier. She would always set up with her sweet and adorable appearance and Tomoe would take care of the actual job while the target was distracted. This type of plan was used over and over again for stealing, be it from targets, or rival gangs. Nova could be considered the weight that keeps his life balanced, reminding him that there is always fun to be had, and often distracted him when his mind is a storm.

Outside of gang life, Nova is always on ClickClok, trying to cook meals for Tomoe and Sedona. Some great, some not great at all. She also likes to save a long list of videos to show them from it, holding them against their will when there is nothing to do, or while waiting for meals at restaurants. Nova is also learning how to crochet from Kisa and Cadence, so shell often make beanies or scarves for the crew. She likes to make little things for Pashmina which kills Tomoe with cuteness.

Sedona Right hand
The hard carry, Sedona is the one that pulls the strings of the puppet that is Tomoe. She has every minute detail and word planned out well ahead of time, often taking over gang meetings to discuss plans and goals. Their first meeting was very...unique. Tomoe was writing a recruitment ad on a sidewalk one day in Light city, and Sedona couldnt help but over hear his struggles. Decided to assist him purely for the reason of getting her peace and quiet back. She left a good impression with Tomoe and he requested her to join him. At first, she walks away and leaves him with the most disgusted face. After some pacing around Light city, she comes back, and decides to join.
Thinks Tomoe is the stupidest boss on earth, but her mindset is that if he were to be left alone without her, he would most definitely die somehow. Keeps Tomoe's wild ideas away, shooting him down in milliseconds sometimes. But when Tomoe has his dark and depressing moments, she softens up and comforts him, offering advice, listening to his woes, and offering reassuring headpats.

Does not allow anyone to roast Tomoe, so she has a very very /very/ deep hatred for Tahksi, Aka THAT BITCH.

Tozoku Younger Brother
One of Tomoe's younger brothers. When they were young, they had an ok relationship, not the closest, but he kept him safe. As was his role as a big brother. After Tomoe was kept busy by his gang, he saw very little of Tozu, and before he knew it, their bond was gone. When Tozoku disappeared, Tomoe spent months searching high and low for him. Eventually he assumed he had died from starvation or was killed somehow. When he heard rumors of his brother being alive and well, his heart soared! Years later and he could finally see his brother and bring him under his wings to keep him safe and sound, like he had always done in the past.
When Tomoe found Tozoku and discovered not only was he alive, but now also part of a rival gang, he felt numb. Tozoku also told him to stay away from him, that he meant nothing to him and never would after he walked out on them and his mom. That he would never forgive Tomoe for his selfishness.

After Tomoe's depression spell cleared, He decided he was happy with the fact that his brother was at least alive. Even if he never forgave him and misunderstood everything that happened, he could be happy for that. Tomoe does dream of rebuilding a bond with Tozoku and does eventually get Tozu to soften up at times. Running into him every now and again and giving him dating advice once he realizes that Asami catches Tozu's fancy. He also enjoys the fights that he and Tozu have, feeling like Tozoku actually puts up a good fight and is a challenge in strength.

Tetsuo Youngest brother
Tetso is Tomoe's youngest brother. He hasn't seen him at all since before his mother died, he has been on the constant hunt trying to find his brother and offer him a place of refuge. He has had no luck in finding him yet.

Tahksi Ex/ Business Partner
Tomoe's first real love and longest lasting relationship. While the two aren't together any more, they do quiet a bit of playful banter and tease one another in public settings or at gang meet ups. Their relationship is quiet complicated but he would never allow any one to harm her. Only he gets to bully and tease her and he can get quiet jealous at the sight or thought of any other kems getting close to her like they once were.

Outside of their relationship, Tomoe relies a lot on Tahksi to help keep his entertainers safe, she also brings him new workers who show an interest in the industry that he runs. She has a natural knack for finding workers that fit well with his style, pretty pretty pretty kems <3~!

Kitae "Boyfriend"
Kitae is a Kem that Tomoe harasses as often as possible to join his *escort business name*. Kitae is a Magazine model with a spicy attitude which Tomoe finds really charming and interesting. Kitae tolerates Tomoe's antics on their days off, going out to try new food places, watching movies at the theatre, or playing games at Tozoku's arcade. Both get a kick out of making him angry.
Kitae will often invite Tomoe to his shoots and shows and feels slightly disappointed with the airheaded kem doesn't come to see him. Tomoe is physically affectionate with Kitae, who does not really like it but deals with it cause hed rather deal with that than deal with Tomoe's whining.

While Kitae does not provide anything to Tomoe's gang or to his buisness, he is a kem that Tomoe can feel "normal" with.
