Juliet “July” Saal

Appearance: July is a blue merle Australian Shepherd female. Unlike most dogs of her breed, her body markings are symmetrical.She has markings under her eyes that are reminiscent of half a star, and a spot that can be reminiscent of a huge bean. July is of medium size, and has a muscular structure. She has a medium length coat and a very small tail. Her legs are a bit flattened and her ears are floppy.When she was part of the Nova Corps, July was wearing a Corpsman collar and armour. Since she has joined the Guardians, she prefers to not wear them, because they remember her hard backstory.

Personality: July is an energetic and stubborn person. She likes to do things her own way and no other way. However, she doesn't like to be told that she's just a good-for-nothing, even if it's because she is clumsy or stubborn as a mule. (July has already hit her superior, damaged a ship, and unintentionally hit a soldier, and has done stupid things) July is also easy to hurt with words, such as insults. She may stay silent for a long time after that, and want to be alone. Throughout her life, she is determined to prove that she is a true Xandarian and that she deserves her place among the Nova Corps.She sees the good in everyone, and tries to be kind to her enemies despite everything. She is the first to apologize after fighting with someone, which is surprising for a former Nova Corps soldier and annoying for the Guardians. July likes to take care of others, such as her teammates, when they are injured or sick. She tries to make her father proud of her in every way possible, but can't. He just ignores her. She would do anything to protect the people she loves. (even her dad)

Powers: July knows very well how to use her Nova Machine Gun, which is the only thing she knows how to handle correctly. She forms a perfect duo with Rocket in combat. However, although she is trained in defense and attack by the Nova Corps, July does not really know how to fight. It is Gamora who teaches her to use her fists. July's weaknesses are more moral than physical. Insults and criticisms sometimes hurt her more than blows from enemies. Moreover, July is not very good at hand-to-hand combat. She often gets hit on the head and can't react. She is mostly covered with wounds and bruises after a mission (hitting is not the best thing to do to win a fight for her). Her worst faults are to rush in without thinking about the consequences and without taking any precautions, and not to listen to others.
