Magdalyn Bainstale

Incredibly kind, loveable, and a bit silly. Magdalyn's personality is nearly the opposite of her first cousins, though she also hides her dark history behind the pain and sadness in her eyes. Her upbeat personality makes her approachable for spell work, but tends to make people think her incompetent because she is so perky.

Currently, she lives alone in a small cottage in the middle of nowhere, practicing magic and selling spells. She does help any family member that needs her assistance from time to time, as well as an old vampire friend of her first cousin. She is looking for a new Clan, as she left her old one, and her parents are no longer living. She has no connection with the Bainstale family, sans helping the members cursed by Fear.

Like many kids in the Bainstale family, she was born to a happy mother and father with a unique gift. A woman from a local witches clan had been informed of the baby's birth and what she could become. In her persistence to collect the child, she convinced Magdalyn's parents to let the child come and play with the Witches, only to groom Magdalyn into wanting to stay.

At 16, she ran away from home to be a part of the Prairie Witch Clan. There she learned how to hone her basic skills, but never more than that. She, along with the other girls, grew up with the ideas they would be great. Only certain girls were taught greatness. Years into her training, Mags learned that she wasn't being trained because she was only being kept as a collection. She confronted Mother Prairie and demanded to know the truth. In her threatening of the Mother's life, she was told everything, and left the Witches.

She did try to return home, but her parents were no longer living, and the family home had been taken by another Bainstale member. Instead of trying to restore her family's name, she left to find her own path.

Years ago, and years unknown, Magdalyn Arianna Bainstale was simply known as "Arianna." She, along with her brothers Artemis and Arcturus, were the Pillars of their world. Artemis of Darkness, Hell, and Death; Arianna of Earth, Neutrality, and Purgatory; and Arcturus of Light, Heaven, and Life. Together, they kept their world living and thriving, keeping the inhabitants, the animals, and the plants alive. They lived in peaceful bliss for thousands and thousands of years.

At some point in the last 300 years when their world was still growing, the brothers began to bicker. Arcturus, the eldest, began to believe that Artemis, the middle child, was pure evil and planning to destroy their world. He knew that killing the younger brother would cause the downfall of their world but nothing could convince him otherwise. Even though Magdalyn did whatever she could to stop it, the elder brother murdered the younger in the name of heavenly justice.

Since they were gods, Artemis was reborn. However, by the time his soul was ready for rebirth, their world had collapsed due to the imbalance Arcturus had caused. Artemis was reborn on Earth into the Bainstale family and donned the new name "Viggo Artemis Bainstale." Magdalyn survived the destruction of their world, along with Arcturus, but only for a year after Artemis. She, too, perished and was reborn into the Bainstale family on Earth. The memories of their past lives were buried deep within their psyche, awaking when a deep emotional or traumatic event occurs.

For Viggo, it was the suicide of his mother, the abandonment of his father and then disappearance, and then the disappearance of his partners. Each event, coupled with the Bainstale Family Curse, awoke his past life's memories. For Magdalyn, it was the knowledge that she was merely a trinket for the witches; a plaything, a doll to be kept pretty and safe. With the truth in mind, these two former siblings now cousins, keep in touch and in constant fear the oldest sibling will appear from thin air once more.

Siblings in a past life, and cousins in the current, Magdalyn and Viggo have a unique relationship. While they aren't exactly close, she does do what she can to assist and help him, as well as other family members.
