Sygny is happy-go-lucky and just wants everyone to get along. He can act childish at times, but knows how to be serious when the situation calls for it--he just doesn't enjoy it. He is very physically affectionate with those close to him, and gets upset if others don't want to give him a hug rather than a handshake.

His father was part demon and his mother was human, so he has less demon blood than most. His mother, however, was a psychic with a strong belief in magic, and thankfully did not think her child was lying when he professed magical abilities. She helped him get training through some of his father's contacts, and Sygny enjoyed living with her. Unfortunately, she was killed by the great demon Davnihar after reading his future and finding the prospects bleak. Sygny went to live with his father for a while, but he was distant and Sygny did not thrive in that environment. He met Arno, a half-demon mechanic and was taken in by Arno's group for protection once they formed a romantic relationship.
