In his youth, Jai did menial labor along the coast of Rahav, until a sailing master for a trader’s vessel took him as an apprentice. No time on the sea sated him. There were long periods of inactivity that, as a young man, Jai had no patience for. When a Corsar ship ambushed the ship he worked for, Jai recruited himself to their crew with enthusiasm.In the years that have followed, Jai has become a legendary name in Corsar and Oriana alike and he became an established captain. The stories that follow him and the crew of The Griffin, his ship, continue to cement his name into history. In Corsar, Jai is known as a formidable captain and strategic leader in battle. His charisma both endears those who follow him, and give him a unique ability to intimidate those who do not. He is warm towards his crew and he is ambitious, seeing opportunities to ensure that his name outlives him.
