Crystal dragon
Kiba was born with the ability to summon crystals, which paired with their origin species (an unidentified species of dragon) creating the crystal dragon phenomenon, which has been recorded only a couple times previously. It is believed to be one of the rarest combinations.
“Crystal” refers to the tough and sharp material that Kiba can summon anywhere on his body and his surroundings. It has been proven that these constructions are not crystals- however the term was used in the earliest record of the ability (most likely reason is that the appearance of the material looks like what the majority of people think of when the word is mentioned: shiny, reflective, and smooth), therefore it kind of stuck.

Kiba can shapeshift into a large jet black dragon. His scales appear to be made of matte crystals.
Crystal familiars - crystal dragon
This ability is an extension of Crystal dragon. It was given to Kiba in the facility, with the two souls being implanted into his body.
Kiba is able to summon a maximum of two animals made of his construction materials as two souls rest inside him (not in a literal sense i guess: he is his own person still, and none of the souls can “overtake” his body but once summoned they do have a mind of their own. Neither of them can see each other's thoughts or influence each other in any way.)
His crystals are basically the channel these two souls can be brought to life with. Without them, this "move" would be nothing, therefore it isn’t classified as a separate ability.
In case of summoning both souls, the two must be the same species unless it is their origin species. These souls can only be destroyed (in summoned form), not killed: in the event of Kiba’s death, they search for a new body to reside in.
[NOTES] The origin souls are a wolf and a dragon. Both of them have a mature, protective and aggressive aura. They take on whatever shape of a creature Kiba thinks of when channeling. They act as highly intelligent animals, can understand humans but cannot talk by themselves- they can however communicate telephatically. They have no blood, organs or any of the sorts, they are a dense creature made up of the materials Crystal dragon generates.
Crystals manifest in a bulky sleeve with long, sharp claws. The sleeve reaches to the middle of Kiba's upper arm where it appears to infuse into his skin.
Encases the whole body in crystal armor.
