Personality

doesn't know how to talk about her feelings but feels very deeply
kinda mean, harsh exterior but really once you get to know her or if she approaches you first, she's pretty nice
her main problem is just that she's scared to let herself get too close to people so she keeps most at an arms length but in reality she does tend to have very strong feelings(romantic or otherwise)
despite being a loner in the woods she's actually pretty social and likes being around others

Background

was very monitored as a child but parents were emotionally distant
was sent to an all girls boarding school and only was home during the summer and christmas
runs away as a teen and gets into some trouble
scars not from anything dramatic she's just stupid
currently lives in the woods
she's probably got some undiagnosed bipolar disorder
went to same school as hedera, were really close friends because they were both weird outcasts
maybe they end up running into each other again in the future?

Relationships

Magnolia Peony

Maggie and Andy first met at a festival in Maggie's hometown of Pumpkin Hill when Maggie had lost her bag and Andy was the one to find it. The two got talking and eventually exchanged numbers and proceeded to start a causal relationship they maintained for a couple years until Maggie confessed to Andy that she had deeper romantic feelings for her. Out of all of girlfriends that Andy had had, Maggie was by far the one she had the most involved life with, so despite being a woman who previously had only ever dated around, she decided to give a monogamous relationship a try. Andy soon found, for the first time in her life, that she felt like she actually had a family. Maggie's mothers and brother welcomed her into their lives with warmth and fondness she never experienced from her own parents. About a year after Maggie and Andy made their relationship exclusive, Maggie brought up marriage, expressing that she wanted Andy to officially become a part of her family. It took some time for her to consider her feelings about marriage, but eventually the two end up tying the knot. Andy finds herself enjoying marriage, being pleasantly surprised by how it doesn't feel that much different from when she and Maggie were just dating. It wasn't until they decided to have a child together that their relationship started going downhill fast. Maggie was very into the idea and Andy only went along with it because she loved seeing her wife so happy. When their daughter is born, Andy immediately shut down at the realization that she's to be responsible for the impressionable, innocent baby. As their daughter gets older, Andy becomes more and more distant, not just from the baby, but also from Maggie. When their daughter is 8, Maggie decides she wants to divorce Andy and ends up getting complete custody of their child. Once the divorce is finalized, the two attempt to keep up a friendly relationship for their daughter's sake, but Andy is still just as distant with the two of them, leading to them only seeing each other once a year for their daughter's birthday until their daughter makes the choice as a teen to cut herself off from Andy. In her heart, Andy still loves Maggie and wants to rekindle their relationship, but she's too stubborn to accept that Maggie has grown and changed, meanwhile Andy is still acting the way she was when they first got together.

Hedera

Hedera and Andy were both boarding students at the all girls private school that both their parents sent them to for practically opposite reasons. Hedera was abnormally quiet while Andy was absurdly rebellious. Since Andy was a year younger than Hedera, if they hadn't been paired up for a project in their mixed grade music class, the two girls probably would have never interacted. However, the two found themselves bonding quite quickly due to them both being outcasts in their grade. Despite Andy's struggle to maintain strictly platonic relationships, she and Hedera never dated, but there were definitely rumors spread around about the two of them. When Andy started her junior year, she realized she had had enough of being trapped at their school and she started proposing a plan to run away- but she needed Hedera's help to do it. Hedera was intially cautious and didn't want to leave her twin sister, Ophanim, behind, but Andy told her that once they were out, they would go back and bust Ophanim out too. The two spent weeks secretly working on their scheme and on the last day of the fall semsester, while most boarders were being picked up by their parents, Andy and Hedera ran off together. Once they had made it enough miles from the school, the two teenagers found themselves at a crossroads. Andy confessed to Hedera that she didn't actually want to risk going back for Ophanim. Hedera felt betrayed and immediately ran away from Andy and the two never saw each other again. Andy always assumed that Hedera went back to the school, but she never finds out for sure.

Mergo

While Mergo and Andy didn't get along at first, once Andy finally committed to being in a relationship with Maggie, Mergo found a lot more respect for Andy. It took some time, the two eventually got to know each other and even found that they had more in common than they thought. It isn't uncommon to see them working on construction projects together in Mergo's garage.
