 Likes: Metal music, animals (rats and dogs especially), smoking weed, motorcycle, mechanic work, scaring Negan's men, messing with Negan, girly thing, hugs.

 Dislikes:  Insects, clowns, being mocked for her height or because she's a girl, cold weather and rain, being infantilized by Negan in front of everyone.

 Fears: Seeing the rare people she loves dying once again, watching a dear person being hurt/killed without being able to do something, dying alone. 

 Hobbies: Training to combat, riding her motorcycle, repairing motorcycles and cars, playing guitar.

Negan : Favorite Wife, right-hand and personal bounty hunter. (That's why she's nicknamed "Bloodhound". Like the best hunter hound breed. )

[COMICS TIMELINE] She is the only one who remains with Negan after he - and her of course- was imprisonned by Rick in Alexandria. She haven't followed him when he momentarily  he stayed a bit with the Whisperers but, finally, was reunited with him when Negan came back.

Vaas Montenegro : Former boyfriend, actually deceased. She had a difficult relationship with him since she knew him from a very young age. They were always insulting and fighting with each other. Always mean, violent but really full of passion at the same time. It was an abusive and unhealthy relationship but she was really really in love with him.

Hoyt Volker : Big brother, an former crime lord in South Pacific now deceased. She had been almost raised by him surrounded by drugs, blood and criminals.

Dwight : Reliable friend, almost like a big brother.

Sherry : The only Negan's wife she can get along with.

Simon [TV show only.] : Hate/Love friendship.

Rex Volker comes from Johannesburg, in South Africa. She grows up in a rich but destroyed family composed with Cobus Volker and Hoyt Volker. As Cobus Volker, her father, was a diamond digger, a potential mafiosi and the owner of several mines, they lived in luxury. But unfortunately for the two siblings, their father was as mean as rich. Indeed, she used to know that her big brother was sexually abused by their own father without she could do anything about it. It is at the age of 8, when her father wanted to lash out at her for the first time , Hoyt went crazy : It was enough. Her big brother sliced their father's throat and hit his body plenty of times with a pickaxe to unwind all this years of silent suffering. After this traumatizing event, Hoyt decided to fly away from South Africa with his little sister he promised to protect. As Hoyt Volker had already been involved in crimes and shady affairs, he quickly became one of the worst crime-lord of the South Pacific, always accompanied by a little girl he would considered as his own kid. Two years later, Hoyt Volker was already owning an entire island to make his awful human/drug business grow. Rex evolves surrounded by pirates, mercenaries, drugs, blood, death, kills, tortures and outlaws. As she grows up, she was so used to it that it became normal for her.  

Since her teenage years, she was trained to become a mercenarie and protect her brother as he protected her. She also felt in love with her brother's mad right-hand, Vaas Montenegro in Hoyt's back. A twisted and powerful relationship that had certainly destroyed the both of them but still, she was in love. Killing, helping big brother with the slavery and drug business, being with Vaas, destroying everything including herself... That was her life. However, one day she lost everything due to an american boy who decided to avenge his big brother's death (-indeed, he was killed by Vaas-) and to find back his little brother kidnapped by Hoyt. This man named Jason managed to take down the entire business : He, then, killed Vaas by stabbing him in the chest several times and he killed Hoyt by stabbing him right in the head.  Mad with anger and sadness, Rex tried to kill this man but lost the fight : Jason sliced her throat and left her here all alone, bleeding to death.

Sometimes life can be cruel. She could have died and forget everything but no. A little group of former Hoyt's mercenaries who were still alive found her quickly and managed to save her. When she recovered, she decided to leave this goddamn island who was full of Hoyt and Vaas' memories. The childish and funny psycho girl with a Harley Quinn-like behavior disappeared. Cold, quieter and sassy,  She took a fly to the United States to begin another life, alone so that she would never experience again the suffering of losing someone. She found little jobs she didn't manage to keep too long : barmaid, motorcycle mechanic, stripper. She had to always move from city to city because of her main job : Killing. She took several contracts and worked as a freelance hitman. Something that wasn't difficult for her because of her big brother's reputation in this environment. When the outbreak began, she was as she always have been : Alone and with nothing to lose. She was on her own for almost three long years. Sometimes traveling with a different group each time but only for a short time and without wanting to become close to people. She finally crossed the Saviors' way when she was scavenging. She stole food and weapons from them but she got caught by Negan and his men. Impressed by the wild and unafraid girl with a sassy behavior, he decided to keep her alive and take her with him. Even if she wasn't completely agreeing and if she struggled, it has been a kind of relief. She was tired of being alone, tired of fighting, tired of everything. Killed by those people or welcomed in the group, each possibility was better than her life at the moment.

Thanks to her combat and mechanic skills but also because she had basis on healing people she became extremely useful to the Saviors. Negan, curious and amused, finally found a true connection with her : They were kinda the same -> They had lost the love of their life, they were two sassy assholes hiding behind a dark humor and, finally, they were both feeling no remorse and certainly almost nothing anymore too. She became one of Negan's wife, the favorite. But unlike the other, she wasn't wearing a nice dress and she wasn't staying into the Sanctuary. No, she was also one of Negan's right-hands and most loyal warrior.
