Childhood
Minerva grew up with her mother and her grandfather, her biological father has always been absent in her life. When Minerva was especially young her mother grew ill both physically and mentally. In which she passed away when Minerva was only six years of age. Minerva took care of herself for a while, as her grandfather was her only guardian and he had memory issues from time to time. Minerva didn't have many friends as a young child as she was taking care of herself, her home, and her grandfather at such a young age.
She lived in a fairly rural area so foraging was very common especially with her family. When Minerva was around the age of nine she came back after foraging for some plants that her Grandfather had requested. When arrived at her home she was greeted with the body of her grandfather on the ground, assassinated. She ran out of fear and panic as she noticed an ominous figure following her. She hid thinking she was safe, unknowingly being possessed by the same monster-like creature that her grandfather had fallen victim to prior.
She was discovered by a girl, about a year older than her. Her name was Cosima and she had a fever-ish glow and bright red hair. Although she was a runaway she welcomed Minerva into her community called the Wildflowers, not knowing that she could possibly be endangered due to her newfound abilities.
