Born to two nomadic wood elves, Taleisin and Penelo, Theo grew up in a close-knit caravan of about 20. Though the group would stop in town for trade, they spent most of their time in the wilderness. He enjoyed playing pranks and exploring the forests, but had little socialization. He learned the art of tracking from his father. The pipe he plays is a present he got from his mom when he was about eight and he loves it dearly. He has a pet chipmunk he keeps in his pocket named Pecan.
Finally old enough to hunt and trap by himself, Theo goes deep into the woods. Though he planned to meet up with his caravan after a few days, he gets into an accident which leaves him unable to move. He hunkers down, hoping by some miracle that someone will find him. Over a week passes before he is able to stagger back to where they’d been keeping camp, only to find everyone gone.
He makes his way to the Fire Festival, a large celebration held every summer, in the hopes of hearing word of his caravan. While wandering around, he hears no word of his parents, but that many people have been going missing. A hooded woman consoles him, and gives him a golden dragon egg before disappearing. Eventually, he is called by the voice of his father coming from the stage at the center of the festival. As he comes close, he is sucked into the Fey Realm.
