Vasanya Luroon

Backstory

Vasanya was born on Ryloth a few years before the Clone Wars. When she was around 10 years old, her father was killed and her mother was captured for slavery. She was taken in by a group of tech specialists who supported the Free Ryloth Movement, and they taught her the ropes. By the time she was 19, she joined the cause and built computers, repaired droids, and hacked information for the rebellion. After a friend was killed, she found out that the leaders knew some rebels would die in that particular skirmish, but let it happen as a "necessary evil". Vas was disgusted by their willingness to sacrifice anyone, considering this was supposed to be a just cause. She left the rebellion to start slicing professionally, usually for shady politicians or criminals trying to cover their tracks.

At 26, she sliced into an old slavery database for a job, and happened upon her mother's file. She learned that her mother had been freed by a group of rebels before getting shipped off-planet, but her ID was still flagged for slavery. Vas realized that her mother had never been able to leave the city she was abducted to because it had strict border control. She traveled to the city and reunited with her mother, and of course, hacked her ID so that her mother was truly free. Vas was also introduced to her 11-year-old half-brother, Veren.

She spent a lot of time with her mother's new family to catch up for lost time. Vas and Veren bonded immediately; he was kind of an odd kid but very sweet, and he thought she was the coolest. He was really interested in her work, so she started teaching him some of her tech skills. He wasn't very good with computers, so he'd never be a slicer, but he was good at repairing droids and other mechanical things. In 5ABY, when Vasanya was 30, Ryloth gained independence and Vas bought a ship so she could travel and expand her slicing business. Veren wanted to come with her, but he was only 15 so she refused. A year later when she came to visit, Veren had taken flying lessons and expanded his knowledge of ship repair. He had worked really hard just so he could be useful to Vasanya, so she caved and let him come along with her.

Current story

During her travels, Vasanya crossed paths with the notorious Togruta bounty hunter, Farrah Aoh and they became friends. While hunting the ultimate bounty, things do not go the way Farrah expects and Vasanya gets roped into her shenanigans. ♥
