The Silence

They still don’t know how exactly how they came into existence, when exactly it would be on calendars, or where the universe he started in is. They just remember opening their eyes to the cold, dead silence of a void. And then, sudden blinding light unlike anything imaginable. And so he hopped to a new universe, and again the same thing happened. Then they did it again and again, and again, until they lost track of how many times it’d been. Just until they eventually calmed down, and stayed still, and looked out on (what they’d later learn was the Big Bang) what had been created. It was..a lot to process. And still so. So. Silent. She decided they didn’t like the silence, not one bit. But the stars...their vastness and potential....that they’d never forget.

New Experiences

Time is a strange thing, because they don’t know how much of it passed before they found something new. Something lovely and lively and fascinating, creatures. All kinds of them too! Ones that walked or crawled or ran on 4 legs or 2 legs or preferred flying high above over using legs. It was refreshing to say the least! Though, they couldn’t help but notice how rough of a time the creatures had when she came close. They’d trip over themselves and fall, or drop something they were holding, or run headfirst into something- and as some of the creatures developed into ones with language, they’d hear all the words they could come up with for that experience. Bad luck, mishaps, bad breaks, misfortune...misfortune. They liked that one. Quite a bit, actually. The talking creatures gave themselves names, right? Maybe that could be theirs! Misfortune. Or, maybe part of it? They’d have to think on that.

And think on it she did! Until they decided on [REDACTED] Misfortune, or Misfortune for short. By that point they had already gotten used to the oddities of one of their favorite odd creatures, humans. They had so many..strange, ways to view Misfortune. Some believed him to be quite adorable in their hare form, going as far as to try to befriend them, others believe her off putting, or creepy. It always ended the same though. The luck Misfortune brought would either kill them, they’d try to turn Misfortune into something lucky, they'd grow tired of dealing with Misfortune, or they’d try to kill Misfortune. The first time one of those happened was...painful, to say the least, but it at least taught Misfortune a lesson. They can’t rely on what others want for them to be something to strive for. Can’t rely on them point blank. To be stuck to someone, to be chained down to something, was to admit defeat.

They would have to keep moving, never get attached to anything that wasn’t guaranteed permanent, never take a chance on the one thing that could truly hurt them in a way objects couldn’t.

Nowadays

But hey! That’s all the past! Something they won’t think too hard about! What matters now is the fact that they’ve found their way to Mahou Wando! Completely by accident, mind you, he were just trying to go on vacation when they hopped into the realm by mistake. However, the realm and its people proved to be so so interesting, they just had to stick around to see what might happen! That currently takes the form of them starting a casino in Little Nightsovania (the darkness there is comforting, to say the least), and seeing how many odd people they can grab the attention of. It won’t last forever, they know that, but they hope it’ll be fun while it lasts.
