Bijou

Bijou is a cheetah. She has sectoral heterochromia; her eyes are bright pink with a bit of light blue.

NAME does not wear any accessories or clothing.

Bijou is still learning how to use magic, but she does have minor nature magic powers.

- Bijou favors a lot of loose light and colorful clothing. - She sometimes dyes her hair in streaks of light pastel colors. - She runs a clothing & design shop with Marietta; she has her own small clothing line going. - Her shop is part of a bigger chain that also exists in Chromeill and Blackbridge; her clothing line is special to Lumin, though. - Some of her hobbies include shopping, sketching new ideas, doodling little animals, and picking out new outfits (for her friends.) - She knows minor nature magic and changes between feral and anthro often. - Her feral form is reserved for long travel. (Gotta go fast!) - She loves nature and takes a lot of inspiration for her clothing line from nature itself. - She'll also take inspiration for new clothing designs from her friends. - She loves flowers; she tends to the flower box outside of her apartment building. - When she's at work, she acts much more elegant and refined. The workplace is for mature people! - But she's not afraid to drop her lady-like act and be a little more childish around her friends. - She doesn't like slackers and is a hard worker herself. - She tries her best to cheer on her friends and motivate them to work harder, too. - She isn't actually French and knows zero French, but she has a slight French accent when speaking sometimes. - It's from her mom. - If she's upset, she completely drops any hint of an accent. - She can also speak really fast (like "list of side effects infomercial" fast) if she wants to mess with people. - She's a social butterfly. She's good at making friends and equally good at keeping them. - She likes to stay in touch with friends; she feels bad if she doesn't stay in contact with people anyways. - She gets enthusiastic over a lot of things; she enjoys the idea of adventure. - She's very sweet around people, making it really hard to say "no" to her, and takes advantage of this to sway the stubborn folks. - She loves coffee and isn't picky. (Even if it's pitch black.) - But she does prefer some caramel or chocolate with a bit of whipped cream in her lattes. - Once you get to know her, you're in for the wildest adventures of your life. - She's actually a handful to keep up with. - Her favorite season is summer. - She loves to sit outside on the rooftops during summer with a nice cold drink and stare up at the clouds passing by. - She's good at recollecting the pieces of her failures and trying again. - Like Zest, she likes to make the best of things and doesn't see the point in crying over spilled milk. - She has a tendency to go on full "mom" mode and nag/scold people for poor behavior or laziness. - She loves hugs.

Relationship stuff: - The first person she befriended in Lumin was actually Drosera, even though Mari was one of the first people she met upon arriving. - She befriended Mari later on, after learning a little more about her. - Dro and Mari are her closest friends in Lumin. - Dion and Bijou had a shaky relationship and often argued, but they've been improving. - ORIGINALLY Dion only protected her because of his master's wishes; the demon fights for Bijou and her friends on his own terms now. - She likes to think that Dion's had a change of heart or at least is learning to be better. - Bijou and Mari often work on projects together and are basically designer BFFs. - Since Mari doesn't do well with people, Bijou handles the social aspects of the business; Mari handles the heavy lifting and math. - Whenever Bijou is going through a tough time, she confides in Mari or Dro; she does the same for them in return. - She often goes to Mari for advice on situations. - On weekends, Bijou hangs out with Dro often. Dion sometimes comes along. - She swears they aren't dating. - They're just friends. (They share more of a sibling relationship; constantly teasing each other.) - Her other friends are Solaire, Beelzebub, Belial, Zest, and Alesia Whitefeather. - She rarely hangs out with Alesia, as the dove is often not home anyways. - After work, she walks home with Dro (or Zest, if Dro isn't around), and she feels safer that way. - Sometimes she gets annoyed that Dro is being lazy and that he's constantly out of a job (somehow), but she still cares about him. - She's beginning to understand that the wizard works on his own terms and that he'll always help them out when it counts. - She acts as the mediator in discussions and keeps her friends from fighting. - She only lowkey knows Shakespierre and Claude. Pear and Claude are more of Alesia and Dro's friends. - Her favorite hangout spot to invite her friends to is the cafe where Bee works. - Or at Claude's penthouse on the top floor of their apartment; that works too. - There's still so much she doesn't know about her friends...

Other various stuff for her past and whatnot: - Bijou's name means "jewel." - When she was born, she wasn't expected to live very long due to a weak body; she outlived the doctors' expectations. - Her love for flowers come from the fact that her mother grew a garden by the house. - Willow trees will always hold a special place in her heart; she wishes Lumin would get one someday. - When she was little, she and her mother would sit underneath a grand willow tree together; her mother would always read or tell her stories. - She does miss the sights and smell of the vast blue ocean sometimes. - And it makes her sad that you can't see the stars above Lumin. - But she's glad she has her friends with her.

Bijou was often sick for most of her childhood, so she was home-schooled for most of her early years. But it was her time in the hospital that led her to meeting her best childhood friend, Ophelia.

The doctors in Blackbridge believed that she wouldn't survive to adulthood, but, in the end, she did.

Before they both went off to college, Bijou and Ophelia decided to get their fur dyed in different patterns. Bijou picked colorful stars, while Ophelia went with roses. They did it as a symbol of their friendship, among other things. Even today, Bijou continues to dye her fur in the same style of stars.
