Doroteja

The Vampire
Doroteja was born into a wealthy Bosnian family in Western Bosnia late 19th century. She was given the name Lajla (meaning night/darkness for her black hair) by her mother, but after becoming a vampire she attempted a baptizing and changed her name to Doroteja to invoke the fact that it means "gift of God" in hopes of reaching salvation and forgiveness.
