Ottek is an eatharyian android who worked as a botanist within an ecology pocket realm. When his empire fell he and his fellow co-workers were left stranded in the realm. Left to their own devices, they had to survive on what they had; understandably, a bunch of scientists weren't exactly the best candidates for a survival situation, but none the less, they managed.
