Matthew

Matthew is a dark colored Clefable with cranberry eyes and heart glimmers in his eyes. He is the biological father of Kristin, and regrets having abandoned Kristin in the wild. This is a thing he must live with, despite being allowed into Kristin's life once more. He normally lives around Tunnel to the Top.

Matthew generally does not handle his emotions well. He is prone to showing excitement if he's happy, and if he's sad or angry, it clouds his judgement. The initial anger and depression he went through during his breakup is the reason he abandoned Kristin's egg in the first place, and he still is not over it. However, now that he and Kristin are reunited, Matthew may be attempting to better handle his emotional problems.

It is assumed that Matthew is also into video games, albeit different titles than what Nick prefers, as he attended a Halloween event dressed as Cave Story's Quote, and would have dressed Kristin as Curly had he had enough time to make a costume and had Nick not chosen the costume ahead of time.
