Nega Faction
Shrouded in shadows of the unknown lays the Nega faction, delving into the occult legends of pokemon and developing new technologies and weapons, their stealth and secrecy rivaled by no other. But despite their malicious appearance, many of the members of this faction only do so to save their loved ones, or the planet itself. Those who have malicious intent within this bases library answer to Xera its leader swift as she is cunning, none wish to face her blades.

Background: Xera only has vague memories of her childhood elsewhere. No clear recollections of the place, only a curtained floor-to-ceiling window and two tall figures. Parents. Sometimes a white chamber. She only partially grew up in one of the small coastal towns of Kingbre, with her mother working many odd jobs to provide for Xera and her sister, Neva, that had been born not long after their arrival.

Together Xera and Neva thought of many various ways to earn money, and libraries provided necessary support for them to work on theorems not solved yet. They seemed to have a knack for the mathematical. It wasn't until later that these solutions had brought them to public attention. Xera was biting into a magitechincal problem at the library when she was spotted by a Nega researcher. Pure luck! He asked the mismagius if she had had any previous education. To his surprise, Xera said no. She confessed that Neva had pushed many of the various solutions they had made together, pulling out a stack of papers with crude graphs and the sort.

In any case, the researcher had offered both sisters a spot at a university course for weapons development. Though as Neva was terminally ill and mostly confined to her bed, she declined. Xera was destined for the course within several months. It didn't stop Neva from picking up on snippets of the course, though. Xera had moved away from home and now lived alone. Many hours of sleep were lost over the various problems she was presented with during the course of her education.

Said education landed her a good spot in weapons development in Nega, just as the researcher said it would. Xera had found the facility confining, though. It didn't seem innovative enough to her. The mismagius had thrown out several wild project ideas, most of which had been struck down by mon stuck in the loop. But where everybody thought she would fail, Xera succeeded.

After many tests and material samples, she managed to synthesize a small piece of latexy fabric. It was enchanted with magic and could refract light to change color or even produce camouflage advanced to the point of it being practically invisible. It was barely enough to make a glove, which Xera did. The next day, the mismagius had startled her whole team of researchers with her hand suddenly disappearing! Of course, they questioned how she would synthesize more of the material. She simply shrugged and said, "I'm workin' on it."

These sort of discoveries eventually provided Xera with enough money to hospitalize both her mother and Neva, however their mother died shortly from kidney failure. It was only the sisters left. Xera had on several occasions turned to Neva to solve and think up new projects, which greatly helped the mismagius' progress in weapon research. Many had tried to contact her sister, but Neva never wanted to share her thoughts with anybody but Xera.

The mismagius' breakthroughs eventually raised her to the rank of Nega's leader. An incredibly honoring and humbling experience, in equal measure. Now with more access to resources and the like than before, Xera had managed to synthesize enough of the fabric to make a chameleon suit that's the basis of her operational equipment - the only one of its kind, currently. Nothing Xera made after that quite eclipsed the suit, but she constantly produces new things and asks Nega members to test them in the field.
