♡ A P P E A R A N C E ♡ He carries an amorphous form made loosely of ever-shifting black material. The anatomy of this form changes on a whim, with the only consistent theme being his vibrant purple eyes and jagged purple fangs. The fabric that forms this body changes depending on whether or not he is exposed to light; in the darkness he is more of a shapeless mass of flickering black mist, the flames of which defy light and appear to be a sheer black void. When exposed to direct sunlight, these flames are forced rather crudely into something that barely resembles physical material. This physical flesh consists of an amalgam of randomly-placed scales, spikes and layers that are barely coordinated. Like his mist form, this body is shapeless and constantly reforms itself on a whim, with limbs and shapes disappearing and reforming as needed. The body, constructed to his imagination, is not created with much forethought; parts that don't offer enough flexibility may be torn into flickering shreds as he moves, only to awkwardly reform into some new shape that is likely just as temporary. The only part that remains consistent are his eyes and a maw of jagged lengthy purple fangs. Similar fangs line his mouth and throat, turning his maw into a meat-grinder of shifting violet needles. Though shapeless, he often returns to familiar preferred forms. The most common of this is a tall hooded figure lined with shifting spikes. His physical shape must be held consciously, and as such it is inconsistent as he 'forgets' certain details and pays little attention to maintaining anything consistent. He does not truly have organs, bones or muscles as we do but may poorly mimic them in an attempt to be what he imagines is like an actual creature. |  |
 | ♡ A B I L I T I E S ♡ His shadow form is untouchable except by magic or holy items. He can pass through objects with ease, unless deterred by magic or holy material. He is forced into physical form by sunlight and particular forms of magic. While he must be physical to interact with the world, he also becomes extremely vulnerable to physical damage done to himself; normal objects can injure him and wounds caused by holy items are more severe. Open wounds he receives bleed corrosive black acid that will eat through most metals. He cannot be decapitated or have limbs severed, as acid-dripping shadowy mist will always hold him together. Prolonged bleeding through this manner weakens him and makes shapeshifting more difficult. |
♡ P E R S O N A L I T Y ♡ He tends to be stern and commanding, doing his job swiftly and without mercy. As a high-ranking creature among his ranks, he demands respect from his subordinates--at the same time, he can occasionally be patient and can rarely seem sympathetic towards his comrades. He has a soft side which is rarely shown and only towards creatures of his same making. While not particularly sadistic towards those he's never met before, he certainly is towards earned enemies; he enjoys the thrill of rivalry and will treat anyone who crosses him with torturous humor. He ultimately relishes in having power over others when it is someone he hates. As for his subordinates or for prey that he only kills as part of his job, he tends to focus on efficiency and doesn't go out of his way to cause unnecessary misery for those who have not wronged him. He is normally independent and more than capable of acting on his own. When around the Mistress however his personality completely flips and he instead assumes the role of an obedient guardian that carries out her every command without question--and literally every command. The concept of disobeying or disrespecting her does not even remotely occur in his head.  | ♥ B A C K G R O U N D ♥ I simply don't know how to salvage this son of a bitch. i made him in like 2012 Akaria was a young girl born to a rich and superstitious family in a remote village. As the daughter of the village's most powerful family, she was also considered by many to be the jewel of her small town for her beauty and kindness. Her father, wanting her to be around safe company, introduced her to the son of the village's priest hoping that they would be lifelong friends. This son was a young boy named Kade, known for his shy and quiet nature, which Akaria's father thought would make him a perfect companion to balance out his daughter's naiive and energetic personality. The young boy promised the protective father that he would help look after Akaria, and from then on the pair became almost inseparable. The adventurous and eager girl would bring the shy boy with wherever she went, and he committed himself to a sworn duty to keep her safe. Yet this friendship was briefly lasting, and at a very young age they died. idk how in their old story Akaria died by falling from a cliff while exploring; she awoke in a purgatory that would typically be the place for lost souls to determine their future. She managed to break out and sought to return to the living world. She discovered Kade anguishing over her death, blaming himself for not managing to protect her. Wanting to reassure her friend that she was alright, she pulled him between worlds into the realm she had awoken in, but in doing so she accidentally killed him in a most unnatural way. Kade's new undead spirit lost all but the faintest of his past memories, yet while he no longer remembered Akaria he still held onto the faintest echo of his loyalty to her and the haunting idea that he had once failed her. Driven by this, his infinite loyalty remained. maybe it would make more sense if they died at the same time or some other way or something anyhow somehow they ended up running a business where Akaria has taken control of Limbo and rules it with an iron fist, commanding subordinates to venture out into the human realm and steal more human souls to join their empire. They create a world where shadowy demons lurk in the dark, and the monster in a kids' closet is a very real threat that seeks to drag them away to some other realm. Egon is a Shadeseer, one who trains other Limbo demons in the art of fending off demonhunters and stealing human souls. This is a fun job until one day a subordinate demon refuses to do so and ends up leading a rebellion its basically monsters inc but with demons and everyone dies |
