Bái Líng / 白蛉

Gentle and weak dragon boy, belongs to the dragon species that has wings but has degenerated and cannot fly. He lives in a forest village. In the village, it is customary to remove the wings when they reach adulthood to express the meaning of “having the courage to give up useless things”. As a child, he witnessed his older brother, Yǔ Jú, having his wings removed in a coming-of-age ceremony. He was terrified that he was coming of age, so he fled the village.

During his journey, he befriends a young raven who is also unable to fly, and learns that Western sorcerers seem to be able to combine body parts.

“If I give you my wings, you should be able to fly, right? If that's the case, it doesn't matter if you cut off my wings.”

The young dragon who has been running away has made up his mind.
