Voice of the Stars
Pride is a legendary hero and the symbol of hope. He has a legendary talent passed down from one legend to the next. His warmth and strength fill everyone around him with hope. He doesn't just save lives, he saves people.
He's also your classic himbo: not too smart, strong and buff, heart of pure gold, and respectful and kind.
Pride has a boisterous and optimistic personality. He's very much extraverted and loves the attention he gets. He has a very strong moral compass which makes him a good symbol. He's easily excitable and not too intelligent. We're glad his smile shines bright because his brain sure doesn't.
He's a very loud person (like WAY too loud). He has a gentle personality and despite his large appearance, people always feel safe around him. He's really kind and always helps wherever he's able. Helping with even small tasks, Pride is humble and doesn't let his #1 status go to his head. He loves cracking jokes and making others smile. He's persistent and wouldn't back down out of fear for himself. He's a selfless hero and a good man.
- He has a birth defect that makes all his organs on the opposite side.
- He is pansexual polyamorous and has a wife and their boyfriend.
- The world thinks his birthday is the 4th of July (not even a holiday on his planet), but it's not actually his birthday.
- The only sport he knows how to play is Baseball.
- His powers require an enormous amount of energy so he eats ~9000 Calories a day. If he doesn't eat he's weaker and could pass out.
- Most common injury: hitting his head on doors.
- Also gets his extremely long tail caught in doors, stepped on, etc. so he can't feel or control the lower half of his tail anymore
- Has probably fallen off a roof more than once because he didn't realize the edge was that close.
- Makes worse and worse decisions the hungrier he gets.
- All his students esp Kuro accidentally call him dad from time to time.
- Has his own private bathroom because he's too tall for the dividers in the stalls and can see right over them.
- Tries to keep his bad language from the kids, ends up teaching them English and Spanish better than the language teachers.
- Most likely to act like a child with the kids unless someone's in danger.
- Shreds everything he owns on accident because of his super big claws.
- His home is always littered with feathers from his wings. When his partners aren't home, he opens his wings and blames the feathers on the pillows.
- Completely oblivious- dude didn't know he had an arch-nemesis for over 2 decades.
- Eats the most horrible food when left alone. He'd eat fried butter on a stick.
- Cannot sit still, will not sit still, probably ADHD.
- When in regular form, he trips over his long legs and tail and gets his skinny limbs tangled in everything.

Pride has a mysterious background because of a scandal when people thought he killed the #1 hero when he was his sidekick. Depressed, Pride fled to Neyurica and lived and trained there. In his travels he came to appreciate the finer American experience of fried food, the Big Dipper, the 4th of July, Mount Rushmore, and baseball. Eventually he gets over his grief and comes back to Leosid, which experiencing "The Great Terror" of crime and terrorism. He saves the world and establishes himself as the new #1 and the Symbol of Hope in one swoop.
"Global celebrity becomes P.E. teacher. Somehow this is more dangerous than his previous job." After Pride gives Kuro his power, he starts hanging around the students. The principal offers him a job as the gym teacher because it's the only teaching job he's qualified for. Even so he hangs around the second year heroes a lot as he secretly teaches Kuro to master Voice of the Stars. He's also coveing up the fact that he has a limted amount of power left and is part time to get as much time out of his stored power as he can.

The same sword that's been passed down with Voice of the Stars. He doesn't use it in favor of his fists.
Pride's best weapon is his super enhanced body, complete with durability, agility, and epic strength. His smile makes enemies scared and citizens feel safe.

A high pressure burst of air caused by a powerful and quick wing flap. Depending on the percent charge, it can be a small force or a giant area leveling attack.

Channeling enhanced strength, Pride punches enemies with twice the force of a speeding train. Immensely powerful and mostly a one hit knockout. Named after his favorite "president".

Pride throws his opponent into the air to destabilize them, before smashing them into the ground or a wall. Can throw someone mildly or really yeet 'em.
Pride's pretty much adopted him.
Pride found him in the hospital and after seeing him fight, was certain of taking Kuro as his successor. They trained for months before Kuro inherited Voice of the Stars. Pride helped him get recommended into the hero course as a second year.
These two are close as close can be, Kuro being one of a handful of people to be involved in both sides of Pride's life. He's so proud of his nerd son's determination.
Bakari and Homie went to college together in the states and started their hero careers together. They both have incredibly powerful abilities and secrets in their origin stories. As a result, they understand each other and can challenge each other.
They still have a close long-distance relationship and they see each other pretty frequently on team up missions and at hero conventions. Bakari trusts both parts of his life with Homelander, who was the first person to know about Pride's injury and secret identity.
