Xerxes is an amphibian-like alien with cool, damp skin. Xe can breath through xer skin, as well as xer mouth. The freckles all over xer body can glow lightly, and used to be used for attracting mates. While their species reproduces sexually, they don't have different sexes. They come from a small, very swampy planet where they make homes surrounding underwater air pockets.
Xerxes's family is a major stock holder of a shipping company. Xe and xer sibling, Lunia were expected to take over management when they were older, but Xerxes wasn't interested and hated how structured the society of xer planet was. Sent to make transaction with a business partner on another planet, Xerxes disappeared into the city and never turned back.
Xe started doing sex work, first independently and then at a club when things got rough. It's a job xe greatly enjoys, both for the money and attention. This caused a great deal of strain between xem and xer family who find it childish, embarrassing, and pretty taboo for their species.
