Profile
Tou is a gentle person who doesn't speak up much. They tend to be introverted, and when they are forced to interact with someone it usually comes off as odd due to a lack of social skills. Though Tou may appear timid, Tou is actually quite brave. They care deeply about those around them and will do whatever it takes to ensure their safety. Tou is very selfless and would do anything for anyone if it means helping them.
While they are a gentle person, they have no qualms about getting physical with those who threaten their loved ones and friends, which can come as a surprise to those around them. Tou tends to be very serious when faced with a challenge, and tend to brute-force solutions. This can cause them to overestimate their abilities at times, however, which can lead them into danger. It is difficult to tell if their self-sacrificial tendencies are out of a sense of duty, or a mere disregard for their own life.

Tou is from an unloving home with only their mother. They have often had to fend for themselves growing up, to the point of growing their own food in a community garden.
After arriving in the Digital World, Tou defers to the others' wishes regarding where to go next, hanging back and staying quiet most of the time. After Yumeto is found, food is gathered, and the group establishes camp for the night, Tou informs the others that they would rather find their way home alone. The others don't like this idea and Tou's partner, Terriermon, attempts to stop them from going, but Tou ignores their warnings and sets off by themselves into the wilderness with Terriermon at their side. It is clear that Tou is ambivalent towards the possibility that they won't survive the journey.
Instead of searching for a way home, Tou and Terriermon attempt to cultivate a small garden in the forest, and also befriend some wild digimon in the process. Due to Tou's tendency to themself into harm's way, Terriermon begins to lose confidence in his ability to protect Tou. Later, they are confronted by a hostile digimon. Terriermon discovers that he is unable to digivolve and is defeated, causing a fire to break out. The pair are forced to flee, with Tou protecting an incapacitated Terriermon. They escape, but not without Tou sustaining some damage to their lungs. At Terriermon's insistence and with nowhere else to go, Tou manages to find the other DigiDestined and rejoin the group.
