About

PERSONALITY / TRIVIA

• Gabe is the carer and guardian to a group of feral werewolves. He is not feral himself, being totally in control of his werewolf form.

• Gabe likes to make people happy, bring out their confidence, or help to make their day just a little bit better; he enjoys talking to anyone or simply hanging around them if he thinks they may be lonely or troubled.

• He has a sleepy and dopey nature. He is often spaced out and won't respond if called.

•  Gabe thinks he isn't the best at talking, but has a way with words when it comes to writing. He enjoys expressing himself through writing poems, songs, fiction, etc.

• Gabe is good at making friends, but is shy when it comes to romantic relationships.

• Gabe is very popular with lots of friends and acquaintances. He attends plenty of events and parties. He also runs a popular blog where he frequently posts photos, opinions and long writings.

• Due to late nights and dealing with the feral werewolves, Gabe often suffers with muscle pain, headaches, tiredness, etc.

• He is fairly emotional, easily crying in stressful situations or when feeling overwhelmed.

• Although Gabe has always wanted to be a writer of some sort, nowadays it is more of a hobby and he is more interested in becoming a nurse due to his experience looking after and treating the werewolves.

• Gabe is very responsible, but can get into trouble due to his protective nature of friend group. He prefers to solve situations by talking things through.

• Gabe's job is to stick with the feral werewolves every night, never leaving them unattended. He is surprisingly alert when he has to be.

• Gabe shows his bravery by being a faithful guardian, but he gets nervous easily and has a lot of fears; horror movies, certain animals, jumpscares, etc. That being said, he's very good at pushing fears aside if someone else needs the help more.

• Gabe enjoys retro + online video games, roleplaying board games, reading fiction and watching cartoons. He gets crushes on fictional characters easily, but doesn't tell anyone that.

• Gabe owns a rescued cane corso (black with a white chest and floppy ears) called Abigail who seems to hate everyone but him. She enjoys guarding both his parents and the werewolves houses, eating food under the table and taking up Gabe's entire bed.

• On the rare occasions in which he's alone, Gabe can usually be seen enthusiastically bopping along to music through his earphones.

• Gabe is not scared of the feral werewolves, or any werewolf for that matter. He simply seems tired, irritated and bit grumpy when dealing with them - but struggles and becomes emotional if he ever sees them in pain or is forced to hurt them himself.

• Gabe and Percival originally had a rocky start, with Percival purposely avoiding him and acting firm for their own sake, and to keep things professional. This act failed after a mere day, as Gabe insisted on being friends and Percival quickly developed a soft spot. The two are quite different, yet share a deep and affectionate bond. Werewolf-Percival proves to be a constant struggle for Gabe with his violent antics, but Gabe has never blamed him for it, and often forces himself to view werewolf-Percival as a different entity to cope emotionally, sometimes giving him nicknames (usually rude ones).

• Gabe and Harper often bicker as Harper finds it funny to tease him; but he loves her nonetheless. The two pull pranks on each other often, but as expected, Harper is usually victor.

LIKES: Music, video games, board games, cartoons, writing, poetry, dogs, lizards

DISLIKES: Horror movies/jumpscares, unfairness

HISTORY

Gabe had a lucky childhood compared to most; he was raised in a big, close family and lived with his parents, older brother and younger sister. Aside from the normal rules (such as curfew and safety procedures), Gabe's life was rarely affected by the growing lycanthrope problem. The family lived in a well-protected and fortified neighbourhood, capable and financially comfortable enough to protect themselves if the need occurred.

He rarely had trouble with school work, always had friends and was one of the most popular and respected kids/teens around. Gabe never used his status for ill-doing, and was often approached by those needing help, whether it was with schoolwork, trouble with another person or something else entirely. Gabe was very close with his older brother and two friends - the four were a popular crew, rarely spending time apart.

Gabe has had lycanthrope since he was a young teenager. He does not remember how it happened or any of the details, and he has never been aggressive or suffered from random transformations.

At the age of nineteen, he received a job offer from a man called Eamon, a friend of Gabe's father. Gabe agreed to the job, not fully understanding what he was getting himself into and getting few of his questions answered. His duty is to stay at Eamon's house every night, keeping a watchful eye over his adopted werewolves to ensure they don't become a risk or travel too far when they turn, as well as nurse them back to health and help with the injuries or illnesses they get as a result. At first it seemed like a simple watch job, until he realized he was also on the werewolves hit-list. Gabe quickly had to adapt to using his werewolf form in order to deal with the various bites and beatings he receives from them. Gabe stayed as he felt he had no choice, but has since bonded with the group.

Gabe's family and one friend, Tana, are the only people outside of the werewolves circle that know of Gabe's lycanthropy and secret nightly duty.

WEREWOLF FORM DESCRIPTION

Brown and cream fur, very fluffy. Dark brown nose and paw pads. Yellow/orange eyes. He is the largest and stockiest of the werewolves, naturally making him a force to be reckoned with. Gabe is not feral and has full control over his werewolf form, but only uses it if absolutely necessary; as transformations are still painful (but nowhere near to the extent of a feral werewolf).

Being a werewolf does not give Gabe any personality or behaviour changes, but he is partial to a tail wag. He cannot talk and expresses himself mostly through body language. Gabe only growls, snaps or barks if he is trying to communicate with the feral werewolves; such as putting them in their place or getting their attention. Gabe doesn't particularly enjoy being a werewolf, he forgets how big he is and becomes clumsy; falling over his own feet or knocking things and spooking himself. He is quite fond of how soft and fluffy his fur is, and is willing to offer it for a stroke or snuggle to anyone who needs some comfort.
