Ocular Sundance is a light hearted and kind alicorn. He is incredibly patient, and while he is lazy, he gets the job done. He has very little friends outside of Twilight Sparkle, who he trained with while he was younger. Other than her, he doesn't have anyone close to him besides family.
He loves summer time and will stand outside basking in the sunlight when he gets the chance to. Rainy days bore him, but the feeling after makes him feel nostalgic for when he was a foal. His family would do raindances together after it rained to celebrate the crops getting well watered thanks to nature.
Now that he's in his 20s, he feels a little lonely. While he is a people (or rather pony) pleaser, he has very little close friends. Twilight sees this predicament and decides to send some ponies his way, to help with his lonlieness. And while he doesnt get to say anything to her after he's become close with them, he is incredibly grateful to her.

General magicAs an alicorn he does have advanced and enhanced magical ablilities.
While he does have fantasic magic and magical training he cooses not to use it for much, instead opting to use it for his domestic life, like sewing or flipping pages in a book hes reading while preoccupied. He also uses the magic to draw plans for construction when workers need help planning in the city.
Phenominal FarmingHe can grow special straberries in extreme heat. Many call them "Midas Touched" due to their golden appearance. He has tried growing them in other conditions, but have failed. Now with his magic, he can grow them whenever, but ony saves them for special summer days.
No one knows why he could do this before he gained his magic. Many ponies chalk it up to earth ponies only having residual magic having to deal with the earth.
Ocular Sundance was born an earth pony who gained his wings and horn in his early teeanage years.
He originally gained his cutie mark when he was 7. He lived in a small town that was home to many farmers, and he helped his family with strawberry harvesting. One day, during a heatwave, every strawberry he grew looked like gold and tasted like sweets. He gained his cutie mark after that. He soon learned that he could only make these special strawberries under extreme heat. He helped sell the berries with his family whenever he could make them.
When he was 10, Princesses Celestia and Luna passed through the town he and his family lived in due to the rumors of these "Midas Touched Berries." They saw his patience and his ability with these strawberries and asked if he could come with them to take him under their wings. After he and his family moved to Canterlot, he met Twilight and gained a liking to reading and writing. Eventually he was graced with wings and a horn after various tests and events allowed Celestia to give them to him late into his teenage years. He was then taught how to use his wings and magic with more qualified teachers, but he soon became interested in battle techniques. He tried to learn more than basic fighting with both his magic and brute strength, but he could never get the hang of it so he stuck with the basics.
Early into his 20s, Ocular moved back to his town to start developing it into a city. With much help, he made the small city of Steadsdale. While he technically is the "ruler" of it on paper due to Celestia dubbing him a prince shortly after becoming an alicorn, he doesn't act like one, instead opting to be a mayoral type figure. Now he doesn't have a close friend group due to his hectic childhood, only knowing Twilight as an aquaintence. She intends to change that while she's staying in Ponyville.
- Loves reading! His favorite genres are classics and fairytales.
- His eyesight is a little bad, but not bad enough to get anything more than reading glasses.
- He says that he's a good fighter, and while that's not a lie, he doesn't have enough experience to actually fight. He primarily makes battle plans when the need arises.
- Bad cook. Never let him near a stove.
- Cares very deeply for his friends, but very bad a vocalizing it.
- Unfortunately he is incredibly bad at starting projects and finishing them, so it's not uncommon to see areas he frequents full of half finished things that he never gets around to working on.

Twilight left Canterlot soon after Ocular did, instread leaving for Ponyville. He has met her a few times afterwards, but because the don't know eachother well enough, they have awkward small talk.
