Her father was a daring domesticated cat, confident and risky with his love. He loathed staying inside, and almost died to a young wild cat in the forest outside of his home. She spared him, after a bit of awkward flirting, that she more or so was completely confused about him. He followed her for days, and eventually won her over with smooth talking. She wasn't too offended when he awkwardly broke it off after she revealed she was expecting. She didn't have any offspring before this, but she did know his type. Instead, she stayed around the area and gave birth to one kit, named Maple.

Maple spent most of her young life around her mother, and she was completely babied along the way. She loved cute things, however her large body meant that she was made for killing, not caring. She cried about not being able to help, and her mother consoled her and taught her the cycle of life and death. When she got old enough to leave, her mother gently forced herself away from her kit. And so, Maple found her way to a rag-tag group of rogues, and they revered her like a goddess. Even so, she found herself smitten with the tom named Floraldusk, and the stories he told. She followed him into Tideclan, and earned herself the name of Mapleflight.

Mapleflight was a self-appointed body guard to Floraldusk, and so she knew of his plans. It seemed a little like a switch flipped in him, as he went from telling tales of Starclan to persuading people in favor of something called the Dark Forest. Even so, she went along with it because of her love for him, no matter how one-sided it was. She used her large form as intimidation toward anyone who defied Floraldusk, though she never actually harmed anyone. It's not like she needed to, as Floraldusk's silver tongue seemed to sweep cats to his side. He formed a plan to leave Tideclan with his followers, and to make a new clan called Duskclan. The night came, and they gathered everyone who wanted to come with them, either from curiosity or faith, toward the swamplands. It was there that Floraldusk reintroduced himself as Floralstar, and informed everyone about the new Duskclan. There were some who questioned him, though faithful companions like Boulderpath and Dappleleaf quickly shut down their arguments... until Luckyleaf spoke up. They ridiculed everyone for listening to Floralstar, and threatened anyone who stayed that Tideclan would kill them, then took those still loyal to Tideclan back with them. Safe to say that even those that wanted to return after that didn't for fear of being killed.

With the help of those that stayed, Duskclan was able to establish themselves within a small amount of time. Though, it didn't matter as a Tideclan ambush tore through camp. Mapleflight was busy within the frey, and she quickly lost sight of Floralstar. After the end of the battle, when Tideclan had suddenly retreated, that Mapleflight learned of Floralstar's family. Coral, his young apprentice, was actually his daughter from Monarchstar, as were Sturgenpaw and Shrimppaw. It broke her heart a little to know that he had been taken all along, until she realized that this battle had signified the end of that relationship. Even so, maybe she shouldn't obsess over him as much, aye?
