Vyolette was raised in Guallidurth as part of the 17th house, Baenrahel. Baenrahel translates to "Blessed by the gods." She has 7 sisters (Drada, Elerra, Mizzrym, Talice, Umrae, Xune, Z'ress) and 2 brothers (Syrdar, Trelgath). Since drow are mostly known to be evil on the surface, Vy covers every last bit of herself, including a mask that she has crafted with the symbol of Leira. On the off chance she has to show any skin, she casts Disguise self to appear as a high elf. Nothing changes except the skin color.

Leaving Home

Vy never understood Lolth or her followers. It was obvious to her that it was keeping her race inferior with all the infighting. When her family started to groom her into a priestess for Lolth, she found Leira*, whose teachings she used to deceive them. The ruse only lasted a few years before Vy's pride got the better of her. She let loose her secret in an argument with Talice which quickly spread to the rest of the household. Within hours the followers of Lolth branded her a heretic wanted her dead. Her only option was to escape to the surface where she could potentially find other followers of Leira and maybe. Just maybe. Find a way to bring down the temples of Lolth in Guallidurth. Part of Vy's anger stems from the guilt she feels for betraying her house. Showing weakness has probably landed house Baenrahel in the eyes of other lowly houses trying to move up in the matriarchal system. And the only way to do so is to slaughter every last member.

Meeting Siros

During her escape, Vy makes it to the surface and finds her way to the nearest city, Calimport. While in Calimport, trying to find ways to conceal her identity, she is spotted by two guards. Vy runs and the guards makes chase. Eventually she turns down an alley hoping to buy enough time to cast disguise self. One guard, Aman, is faster, turns the corner to see the incantation and calls her out for her trickery. It's at that moment when Siros, another guard, catches up. But what he sees is a guard charging a high elf. Siros attempts to intervene and a fight breaks out between the two guards. In attempting to defend what appeared to be a high elf, Siros releases a spell, knocking out Aman. Vy runs to his side to stablize Aman. She doesn't need a death on her hand already. Meanwhile a stunned Siros begins to realize how dangerous the bits of magic he learned without proper discipline is. Vy grabs him by the arm to drag him away from Aman and finds a place to hide. They find an unlocked cellar door and head down below. Once in a safe space, Siros sees through her illusions when questioning what happened. Through persuasion Vy promises to try and help Siros with his magic so long as he helps keep her identity a secret. She isn't like other Drow. But they must skip town. The two of them have already stirred up enough trouble. The two board the next ship out of town, which just so happens to be going to Waterdeep...
