Personality

Batwhisker is a sharp she-cat with an excellent mind for strategy and organization. She's a very collected and calm cat, and likes to think things through before doing them. She's not as direct as most CliffClan cats tend to be, and sometimes she's seen as a bit hesitant. She is a very patient cat, allowing her to get along with most cats, and making her a good teacher. 

Appearance

She is a lithe, sleek cat with short dark-brown fur with faint darker markings mostly visible along her legs and tail. Her features are rather angular.  She has huge ears, reminiscent of a bat's. Her eyes are amber. 

Relationships

Beetlepaw - Batwhisker's apprentice. Batwhisker is very fond of the energetic young apprentice, and seems to somehow have the endless patience required to mentor him. Although there are times even she gets overwhelmed by the constant energy, she's careful to encourage him in his passions while teaching him to be a responsible warrior of CliffClan. 

Coralnose - Batwhisker's sister. She and Coralnose are pretty close, and often spend time together, sharing tongues, or discussing the latest clan news. Batwhisker jokes that her sister's kithood and apprenticeship shenanigans were preparation for training Beetlepaw. 

Sandfang - Batwhisker's former mentor. Batwhisker deeply respects Sandfang, and considers her a great warrior and teacher. 

Stonetail - Batwhisker's brother. Although not as close with her brother as she is with Coralnose, she still loves her brother and his (somewhat odd) family. 

Cavefoot and Rocktooth - Batwhisker's parents. Batwhisker is on good terms with both of her parents. 

Story

Her kithood was rather uneventful; Batkit grew up alongside timid Stonekit and curious Coralkit, the latter of which often got them into trouble with her escapades. Batkit was fond of the caves, and grew very comfortable with the tunnels that ran throughout the cliffs. 

As an apprentice, Batpaw was assigned to be the apprentice of the warrior Sandfang. She learned a lot from Sandfang, and started to come into her own as a warrior-in-training. She discovered her love for tracking, and often tested her skills by tracking the other cats. 

Later in her apprenticeship, Hawkstar died protecting the camp from a bear. Pebblepelt became leader, and later lost her leg and ear to the same bear before the clan was able to drive it off of their territory. Batpaw was able to track the bear, and led the clan to its den for the ambush. 

For her bravery and skill with the bear, Batpaw earned the warrior name Batwhisker. As a warrior, she continued to improve her skills as a tracker and as a hunter, as well as a strategist; she was thrilled by her small part in the planning of the bear ambush, and strove to learn all that she could about battle plans and strategy. The warrior became known for her patience as well as her sharp mind and senses. 

She was assigned Beetlepaw as her first apprentice, and is currently teaching him to be a warrior of CliffClan. 

Trivia

• Batwhisker is one of the few CliffClan cats that prefer the inner cave tunnels to the outside paths of the cliffs. 
• Although she will fight to protect her clan when she has to, she is not very good in battle. She prefers to be behind the scenes, planning or strategizing, or assisting the clan with hunting or tracking. 
• Most of the clan assumed her warrior name would be Batear, due to her huge ears, but the new leader Pebblestar named her Batwhisker in honor of her tracking ability instead.
